It's about 90 minutes to Punkin Center either way you go. From Shea Blvd. or from Apache Junction. If Karl breaks, it could be days..

Hope everybody has a fun New Years Day Run. My car is snowed in right now but on the bright side, it is spending it's last winter in Idaho. We'll see you for the 2017 New Years Day Run. Greg/Vicki

Karl don't crash no more on the road... If he does, we just lean him against something and go on..

Greg. You have snow? Arizona has snow. New Hampshire.... None.

I don't think I'll be making the run this year. Dropped my car off with Charlie Friday to get the front end fixed and repainted where I was hit by road crap. Don't know how long it will take to get done, or if I dare do a drive that far before the paint has cured well and I get a clear bra on it. Hope everyone drives safe and Karl can make an entire trip!

OK guys, for those who are going, which route is preferred? Shea BLVD and over Mt. Ord or Idaho and the 60 out through Globe and north through the basin? Need a show of hands...

I'm cool with either option - I still think the desert route through Globe would be a more pleasant drive, but I can also handle the cold over Mt Ord.
Any west-side guys who are going would have the longest drive, so let's let them pick the route....

Even discounting the voice from the far east, it seems the overwhelming opinion is that we leave from Shea Blvd. So that be it.. We leave from the Shell station on Shea Blvd. just north of B Line Hwy. at 10:30. That should put us at the Butcher Hook around noon.. I have been asked to provide a rough count by 12/29. So if you plan to go, send a note if you haven't already. As to now, I see Karl with Mesa Mike in tow, Keith, Robert "Bob" Moore, (Used to be "Cactus") Bob, Gary and Vicki, Paul and Mary, (great candles by the way Mary!) and maybe Fitz.

If we could somehow guarantee the temperatures to be within 5° of 80°, Mesa Dave would possibly go, but, ya know.....

I might go, several things need to happen. First, I have not been in my car for sometime. I don't even know if she will run. Second, I am scheduled to be flying home from WY NYE after 1800, not sure if flights will be delayed or cancelled.
I will know more early next week. So put me down as a possible maybe.....
Dave from CO
BTW, I saw a white cobra with black wheels and black lettering in Colorado Springs last Sunday. Beautiful car.
