Even discounting the voice from the far east, it seems the overwhelming opinion is that we leave from Shea Blvd. So that be it.. We leave from the Shell station on Shea Blvd. just north of B Line Hwy. at 10:30. That should put us at the Butcher Hook around noon.. I have been asked to provide a rough count by 12/29. So if you plan to go, send a note if you haven't already. As to now, I see Karl with Mesa Mike in tow, Keith, Robert "Bob" Moore, (Used to be "Cactus") Bob, Gary and Vicki, Paul and Mary, (great candles by the way Mary!) and maybe Fitz.

So, plan to arrive at the Shell Station early enough before 10:30 to fuel up, hit the restroom, etc...

The route chosen was 87 over Mt Ord, then 188 to Punkin Center.

After lunch, it sounds like a few are going to take 188 to Globe, and then home via the 60...

At this point, I am 50/50 myself - I'm not as sick as Danr, but I am still climbing back from a nasty chest cold that hit me like a train on Christmas day.

But I really want to go, so I am keeping up my optimism...

If we could somehow guarantee the temperatures to be within 5° of 80°, Mesa Dave would possibly go, but, ya know.....

I might go, several things need to happen. First, I have not been in my car for sometime. I don't even know if she will run. Second, I am scheduled to be flying home from WY NYE after 1800, not sure if flights will be delayed or cancelled.

I will know more early next week. So put me down as a possible maybe.....

Dave from CO

BTW, I saw a white cobra with black wheels and black lettering in Colorado Springs last Sunday. Beautiful car.

My sweetness and I are also due in NYE and figure the airports will be deserted. Should be painless, if the weather doesn't throw a monkey wrench at us. I'll definitely try to start my car, that night, so I'm not rudely surprised the next morning. That'll also give me time to juice the battery, if necessary.

See you on the run, 289Dave. Just DO it.

Just got a text message from Ralphie Redcar. He will be going along and probably bringing his grand daughter.. and another friend. He's looking for someone with an open seat. ?? Who might that be? I'm looking forward to meeting this person who is related to Ralphie and willing to admit as much in public... Good for you Ralph.. looking forward to seeing you again.. thought you might have been buried in the lake effect snow.

GFOG,

How's come you haven't said you're going to come out for a nice little ride?

I know Scottie is out of town, and DrDuc used poor timing on getting his car fixed.

Oh, the excuses, the excuses.

Get the cars out and drive them! Can't say it'll be too hot.

I tried to post this yesterday but the site was down.

I will go and may have a granddaughter from Florida go with me and may also need an open seat from someone for a good friend of mine.

So, it will be me for sure and probably 2 extras. I will know by the 28th. (Well, maybe not until the 31st. )

Ralph,
I think the boys want you to run out front, as a speed trap buster. I would, but the wife volunteered me to drive 2 days up to Kalispell, Montana. The things we do to stay married !

Scott, I didn't know the golf courses were open this time of year in Montana! This is stretching for an excuse.

I hear that this year they are using a Zamboni to keep the greens playable... Drive carefully Scotty. I would like to say you'll be missed on the run, but I never lie.. well.. almost never. Ok, sometimes.

Sure Pete. You have to run with the windows down and no heater.

Mikie, if I knew how to post a picture I would show you the snowed in trailer with the car inside. We've got about 3 feet and temps in single digits. Enjoy your good weather.
