Default Breakfast run Friday the 14th

Doing a run to Prescott for breakfast via Wickenberb / Yarnell.
Leaving Cheveron on I-17 & Carefree hwy @ 8:00 am.
I know lots of you can't make Friday runs but if you can it's a great run.

My JAFM can beat up your JAFM. I'm planning on the cobra anyway.

Hotel St Michael was my thought, it has great food and is right across from the court house.
I'm open to any other thoughts.
The Lone Star also looks good to me.

Doesn't look like I will make the Prescott run on Friday - I just took the car out on a short drive and lost the clutch hydraulics.

I just ordered a new Master and Slave cylinders from Amazon, but even with one-day shipping, the earliest delivery they guarantee is Friday...

Hopefully I can get it repaired quickly when the parts arrive, and can still make the Penske Cars and Coffee meet on Saturday morning...

Rob,
Good news is we were not in Gila Bend when your clutch went out.

Ain't that the truth....

The other good news is that my car uses the fairly common Wilwood 3/4 inch master cylinders, and an early F100 truck slave cylinder that is really popular in the hot rod world, so parts were cheap, and easy to find online...

Still- we're going to be over at the State Fair all day today, and I might try to swing by SoCal Speed Shop while we're over in Phoenix. If they have the parts, then I can cancel my online orders, and maybe get it back on the road even sooner...

Robert, you can also try Lopers on Indian School, just East of 7th St. since you're in the hood.

Well, I just finished calling around, and no one seems to have the small Wilwood MC in stock locally...

So, I'm back to crossing my fingers that Amazon gets here early enough tomorrow that I can get it fixed, and maybe get to do some driving on Saturday morning...

Does the MC have to be such a small bore for a clutch? I understand the need for brakes, but don't think a larger cylinder would make any difference to actuate the clutch. Might be worth a call to Wilwood, if there's a larger cylinder available locally.

Karl, there is a formula for calculating the size MC vs. the Slave. The relationship between the volumes has to be maintained. Believe me, I checked

Correct- If you change the bore size on the clutch MC, it changes the length of travel in the slave cylinder rod, as well as changing the clutch pedal leverage ratio.

For that reason, I'm going to swap like for like parts.

One thing I will do is use Dot4 fluid when I refill and bleed the system.

But I'm really bummed that I'm going to miss the Prescott run.
