The driveshaft running out of true could have put additional load on the transmission extension housing bushing (and seal). Keep an eye out for leakage and get the seal/bushing replaced if need be. Not a big deal to do, except for pulling the trans tunnel to get at the housing. I may have the bushing puller/installer tools if they're similar in size to a top loader. I haven't seen them in 30 years, but don't think I would have gotten rid of them.
