5 an. d Diner is an easy drive for me. F'way the whole way.
Bet you'll have a hard time getting the those die-hard Glendale-Maryvale folks to go that far.
Personally, I don't mind driving over to Padre's, when the temperatures are below 105° Yes, itsa bugger but ITS A SPORTS CAR, DAMMMMMIT!

OK, so we've all agreed we are going to do this, so who is going to decide where and announce it so we all wind up at the same place?

Well, Scotty jumped up and said when. Who will jump up and say where?

So if i have this right, we are at 5 and Diner at Scottsdale Pavillions Wednesday night at 9 PM. Is that correct?

Those would be fine. I just assumed that we'd only get ice cream participation from the Mesa Few, so I suggested a place with a shorter drive for Robert down in Gilbert. Maybe he'll chime in...

The idea was to go out for an ice cream after the night began to cool down.

That is what this group is about. You started with a great idea and then we confused it. Set the time and place and I will try and make it. Let us know. Gary

According to Google, 5 & Diner closes at 9:00 PM, except for Friday and Saturday, when they're open until 10:00.

Well that doesn't sound conducive to a 9 pm together and malt

Ok, here's how I see it...:
The Sonic location at 647 E. McKellips (McKellips road, between Mesa Drive and Horne) is probably the best compromise for all the east-siders (Mesa/Gilbert/Scottsdale/Gold Canyon). It's a freeway drive for everyone, and is about 12 extra minutes south from the Indian Bend 5 and Diner for the N. Scottsdale crowd; it's pretty much a dead wash for Karl and Danr (versus the original Baseline/Ellsworth location) in terms of drive time
That's my 2 cents...
However, this was Ron's gig originally, so it's his call...

I agree that it's Ron's call. Making a change, the day of, will cause some people to be confuezzzed. Not everybody eye balls CC as closely as others. I'll be at where ever, when ever, the site is decided. As of this minute, I'm planning on S. Ellsworth
Subject to change.

I agree - 647 E. McKellips is a real good compromise. See you all there at 9:00. Be there or be square!
