Default 2019 Fountain Hills Concours Car Show

Saturday, Feb. 9th, 2019 is coming up quickly. Peter Volny sent this note and I'm passing it along. Many of you have enjoyed the previous Concours in the Hills and I'm hoping that even more will come out in February. The entry fee certainly goes to a great cause, There are so many outstanding cars to see and it would be very difficult to find a better venue. See you there.

From Peter:

If you haven’t yet registered for Concours in the Hills 2019 would you please help us by doing so now. This past February we had 749 cars and 79 sponsors with tents, so for 2019 we will take more space in the park.

To encourage you to sign up we are having an Early Bird Draw for a Champagne Flight for two into the Grand Canyon courtesy of Maverick Helicopters.

One of the biggest problems is that we have to do the layout of the show about a month in advance so entries after that date create serious logistics problems. The whole week before the show we are in the park marking up from the plan and placing the signs and markers.

We want to make sure that each club and brand, right down to each individual car, has plenty of space so that you can open doors on both sides without worrying about hitting your neighbor.

You can sign up online by clicking on the GREEN Tickets button or print out the form.
www.givetopchf.org/concoursinthehills

Last time we raised over $117,000 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and we have committed to raising $500,000 to build a Scuderia Southwest Playroom.

Thanks for your support.

You guys shouldn't really be jerking Benny around. I hear the PRK.. Peoples Republik of Kalifornia... will soon rule the world.. as soon as they can figure out how to make money off of bad ideas and crack pot politicians..

2602, welcome. Since Tucson John sold his FFR to Al and Patty, several years ago, we haven't really seen much from the Tucson group. LLR is still kickin and occasionally chimes in, but otherwise, they have chosen to not participate in anything us Northeners have going on. Damn shame. They are a good bunch of folks.

Wellllll, BobB let some of those moldy greenbacks out of his wallet!

Can't blame him. It's an outstanding show and all of the money goes to a very worthy cause.

Good to go on my end. Hope lots of folks show again.

Peter sent a reminder asking for early sign-up for the Concours. The more folks that get registered, the more area we'll be allocated and early registrations get entered for a pretty nifty sounding helicopter ride.

Here it is:

We created Concours in the Hills to allow Car Clubs to have a place large enough where they could display their cars on grass in a spectacular setting, where they could be spread out allowing doors to be left open without fear of hitting the next car. We also wanted to provide a setting where the clubs could hold a club picnic, perhaps a pot-luck one, and where they could attract more members.

So for 2019 we are greatly expanding the whole show display area to eliminate crowding and we’re going to leave each club in charge of how they want to arrange their member’s cars. We’ll simply mark more than enough space for the cars that registered plus some extras. We’ll also direct any cars of your brand to your club area so that it will be easier for you to sign them up.

Finally we’re going to have a Best Car Club Display Award so start thinking.

In order to do this we just need one simple thing from you. Would you please encourage your members to register now as we are doing the show layout before the end of the year. To encourage them to register we are holding an Early Bird Draw for a Champagne Helicopter Flight for Two into the Grand Canyon valued at over $1,000.

The easiest way to register is on-line by clicking on the GREEN REGISTER button at:
Givetopchf.org/concoursinthehills
Thank you for your support.
