The best laid plans....I didn't hear the alarm Saturday morning so didn't get my early start. After about 380 miles and several hours driving in 109° temperature, I pulled up in Blythe CA. I was getting foggy from a combination of the heat and lack of food, so I got into an air conditioned room and felt much better. Made the last 180 miles this morning, Sunday, 09/08, and rolled into the barn before 9:30. One would think I'd hear " Hi Honey, glad you're home", but I got: "You're looking a little rough"...
Gotta say, the car was great. One set screw in the passenger sun visor came loose and one hinge screw in the driver's sun visor jiggled loose. Piece o crap car!

Welcome home Karl. I can't remember when you didn't look a little rough.

I have to say that I am very inspired by your trip. Thanks for the posts!

I may have to do something similar in the near future. Sounded like a blast.
