Well after I got my a$$ back from Mike on Saturday for not fixing my Cobra sooner. I got up early and fixed the headlight, Mike was a right a ground wire had broken loose. It was stubborn but after cussing and throwing a tantrum on the ground in my garage, I got it hooked back up. I then continued on to locate my mass air sensor. My Mustang book did not mention it (interesting) I found it down by the K&N filter. Took out the filter and mass air sensor. Sprayed it down with carb/manifold cleaner and cleaned the K&N just for kicks. I threw some in the manifold and lubed the choke for more kicks.
Now the time for the test-drive to see if it was still backfiring when I hit the gas and if it was still losing power. Started it up, ran a little rough from all the carb/cleaner I sprayed down the throat. Then it was fine……….went out on 43rd Ave and so far so good…..turn right on Bell going West and decided to punch it in second……felt like my whole backend was vibrating out and was wheel hopping like crazy…..BACK TO WHAT IT WAS and no backfiring! It still gurgles when I coast and let off the gas. But it has always done that since I took off the cats.
Well I am as delighted as a stud during breeding time. Then……………..a strange noise…..that gets louder…….sounds like a clicking coming from the tire….. well a I drove home slowly. I located the clicking to the center of the wheel. Appears either I have too much grease in the bearings or the bearings are bad…………another thing to come between me driving my Cobra……..
Today on the way to work my
oil pressure in my Jeep shot up to 80 and I started smelling
oil. The last time this happened was the
oil pressure sensor broke. Appears it broke again. ANOTHER thing to mess with before I can get to my Cobra. AHHHHHH
