Default Coolant Overflow Tank Leaking

I was checking out my coolant overflow tank and there was hardly any coolant in there, so I filled it up and proceeded to dump coolant all over my garage floor.

Is this a mustang part? It follows the radius of the fan on one side and it's staight on the other. It looks as though it has a bottleneck in the middle, and that is where it is leaking from. I have a 1999 MK1.

I also noticed that the bottom of the fan box is loose. It looks like there may have been clips down there at some point, but it's hard to tell, since nothing is holding the bottom edge onto the radiator now.

Looks like I'll be riding the motorcycle this weekend...

Steve

Oh, could someone tell me how to post pictures? I know, I know, I'm sure there's a discussion somewhere on the site.

What you need to do is the following:
[1] Take car to Gordon and have him do a complete nut and bolt check or
[2] Take car to B&R Automotive (Bob or Russ) and do a complete nut and bolt check or
[3] Take car to Anthem..... and have him do a complete nut and bolt check (get estimate) or
[4] Take car to anyone you trust but get the car up on a lift and do a nut and bolt check.

I do this every 6 months even if I haven't driven car but a few miles. You never know what has worked it's way loose...

Good luck.

Pictures???
[1] Go to your gallery (Click on picture of camera under your call name)
[2] Fine "Upload Photos" right side of screen.
[3] Go to Browse line or box (several of them)
[4] Click on first one; it opens up areas within your computer; I always save / put picture on my desktop and rename it so I can find it)
[5] Click on picture and it automatically puts it in your gallery.
[6] Once it is there in your gallery you can click on it a few times and it will enlarge it.

Hope this helps

I tried that a while back and none of them worked. I will try it again, maybe there were some issues with the server that day.

What about putting pictures in a thread?

Thanks,

Steve

I can't get mine to load either, not with Mac or Windows. I just gave up.

Yes, it's a standard mustang part.
