Dan, I assume you are joking about the 100K insurance. In order to establish an "agreed" value you must have the car appraised at that figure. Otherwise the receipt from the purchase serves as the "agreed" figure. Bill "old fart" Godwin is an official appraiser is case you need one.

Dan who cares about the insurrance agreed value, we are glad to see you won't be leaving us... no one ever leaves.... Look forward to checking out the car on the next run.

I like the orange it is different, but what about a ford orange.........

Looks like the car has an IRS in the rear is that an upgrade from your last car?

Thumbs up Very Nice!

Beautiful Cobra, Dan!
I admired that outstanding black paint job on your "old" Cobra at the Mesa car show last March. It looks like your moving up in the world with a RED one!
I think you should move up to the Chicago area and join the war going on at Windy City Cobras between the Reds and the Blues!
Hope to be riding with you guys late this fall.
Ralph

Suppose I could ask you this when I see you next time but how much stuff were you able to get out of the old car? Engine, Tranny; pipes, tires, radio etc. Or does the insurance company take ownership and does away with the car as it stands.

Fitz, the insurance company settles for a "TOTALED"" price and if agreed upon the entire car is theirs....That's the way they would have done it with me...Dave

Fitz, The old car or what's left of it, goes on the auction block with a starting bid of $10,400. I did not buy the salvage. The seats are from a Pantera and the motor is, well great. The headers and side pipes are great also. The tranny and the rear end (that's tranny and rear end talk for Mikie!) are uninjured and still work. If anyone is interested in bidding on the car, let me know and I'll give you the particulars.

Mike, I'm not sure other than the fuel tank was smashed to hell. The fuel bladder performed flawlessly. That's why I'm getting another one. The rear axle may be damaged but it's hard to tell. The radiator, of course, was smashed. Other than that, I think the rest of the car is pretty much OK. I would love to have those seats back, but not for $10K..

Thanks guys. I just hope that this car is as much fun as 3209 was.

Linda and I will be at 83rd tomorrow with the RED1.. Hope to see everyone there.

Dan's new ride is very nice. Needs some work but what do you expect from a 20 + year old car. Motor sounds awesome.

I agree, good choice, even for Dan. :-) Paint looks great. Good, flashy color. Nice Big Block. Great setup with his new TKO600. May need some new rubber, especially on rear.

Dave, I stopped at Pavillions, but you weren't there. Your coupe looked all lonely sitting there with an empty chair. We'll try again next week..

Thanks Mikie/Jeff. I'm glad ya'll like my ride. Mike, I appreciate your more than generous offer to swap motors with me, but I save you all of the work. I'll just suffer through with the FE motor. Oh, and Jeff chebbie orange looks almost good on a FORD. Of course anything would look better on a FORD...
