Looks like a good chance to meet folks for the first time. I can probably even wrestle up a few fun guns that people might want to shoot.

Well? We've been talking about this for almost three weeks. Who is going to set it up so we can shoot something?

Jeff and I were talking in Kingman about this issue. He says there is a good place near Lake Pleasant we can use. It is outside.

I'll be available east or west valley after the 18th.

Default Ben Avery has "private" ranges

When my wife and I took our CCW class the instructor used a range at Ben Avery that we had all to ourselves for a couple of hours. This wasn't a high dollar class, so he couldn't have paid much for the range. The current fee there is only $7 per person, so maybe a small group could be given their own space. That said, a range safety guy would be needed. The place is staffed by volunteers. Even if it's 100 degress, we wouldn't be there too long.

Mikiec started this conversation trying to pull us together, he will be back in town after the 18th. I have been out to Ben Avery a couple times since this thread started as it is close enough to my home. I wanted to check the sights on two Toys so find the accommodations a real plus.

I do not mind the rules and regimentation of the Range Master but rather appreciate it surrounded by strangers with guns in hand. Add in the fact all benches are under shade with spotting scope rental a buck and targets a quarter it is a great bargain. Not to say I don't enjoy just going out in the sticks and blasting the $hit out of things. Some of my best shooting spots now have crosswalks but I have a bunch more. PS>> I always leave the spot better than I found it by picking up the brass and trash etc..

Davids, your new toy should take care of those pesky brown animals that make you run into mountain sides. Remember to open your window first!

Jeff, thar weren't no pesky varmints that caused me to take out through the desert. Just too many Chevy horses and lack of driver skill.

Well in the end it is always labled "pilot error" but I'm guessing you new those ponies on a first name basis. On the other hand I think it was the furry critters in the end that got you in trouble. furry ball critters aint got no stinkin traction

Do either of you have any idea hot bad it hurts when the hot brass lands in your lap and you can't stand up to shake it off?

Try being under a mini-gun from a chopper. Now that is hot and hurts. That's real raining brass.
