Default MGB Front suspension..

After looking at the MGB front setup on the Arntz car, there is no +/- camber adjustment other than changing the springs. Is there a source for diffrent springs?

If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Moss Motors has a good selection of springs, as well as most other items you might need for the front suspension.

Classic Conversions had camber adjustable lower control arms; not sure if he has any left in stock though. They lower the ride height about 1" by themselves and aren't recommended for use with shorter springs (too much neg. camber).

If everything is tight, bushings are good and the crossmember is mounted correctly, your caster and camber *should* be quite acceptable for most driving conditions without bad tire wear. Throw in a couple worn out parts though and all bets are off.

Jason
Thanks for the links... all the joints are good, it dosent look as if the suspension has seen any miles at all, if the parts came from a donor car it was rebuilt.
We are putting in a big block and want to be able to compensate for the extra weight and not have drastic +camber and tear up tires and stress the suspension any more than necessary.

KZJim,

Got my front springs from Ron Butler. The last number I had for him was 805-649-6000. He's not in the Cobra business any more, but might be able to help.
