Default Cobra Painting

Hi All

You have probably heard this all before but i need some advice. I live in Melbourne and am looking to get my cobra painted.
So far i have had a few quotes that have been so cheap that you never hear from the guy again, or so expensive that I would have to sell the house and live in a tent next to my cobra.
If you know of any good painters that have had experience in painting these cars, I would appreciate it. As i said the car is based in Melbourne.

There was an earlier thread on this that may help: paint jobs

Cheers,

SJZ302, the guys in the Cobra Car Club of Victoria will be able to point you in the right direction.

http://www.cobracarclubvic.org.au/ContactsUs.html

Alternatively contact Marty Govert at Kenmer Engineering in Noble Park. His painter has a few Cobras under his belt and they won't stuff you around. 9701 6037.

By the way, welcome to the forum! Care to tell us a bit about your car?

Sambo

You could also give Doug Pearce a call (03) 9739 4222. He builds a lot of Cobra and can probably point you in the direction of a good painter if he doesnt do it himself (pretty sure he has a booth there).

I picked my car up from Doug's 3 weeks ago after a full re-paint and am currently putting it back togeather, what a job!!!!
I am very happy with the work done, and he must do a good job often as his factory is always full of half painted, half built cars of all types and someone's pride and joy.
As well as all that Doug is not a bad bloke who usually has cold cans in the fridge. VERY IMPORTAINT

Default I Agree

SJZ302,

I agree Doug and his team do a great job.

Fiberglass is a different animal to metal and its needs experience in this field.

Fortunately in Brissy we have a couple of excellent experienced painters.

For those looking for a good one on the Northside should PM me for the contact info.
