Default A Car is Born...Discovery Channel

Hi Guys,

Thought many of you might appreciate the "heads up"...

There's a show on pay t.v. , on the Discovery Channel
( Channel 634 Turbo Max , on Austar )

it's called " A Car is Born ".

It is 15 episodes I believe, following the construction of a Cobra from start to finish.

Cheers,

Warren

Saw the program last night too

After watching a series like 'Overhaulin' the pace seems a bit slow but gives a more realistic impression of the build process.

I saw the guys later series where he restores and E-type a while ago and thought that was a very good series.

I saw the series a couple of years ago, its entertaining to watch. What he is building is pretty simple though compared to what our kits are. Basically take one donar car and fit every part.

He has done heaps of them, e-type, MG, clubman, bikes, planes helicopters etc.

That show has been re run so many times I'm surprised the tape hasn't broken. He does do an entertaining show though and easy watching. He also builds a GT40 on dream machines.

I got this series on dvd a few years ago.

Evidently sales of Pilgrim kits went through the roof when it went to air in the UK.

I have been watching that show as well and it looks like he is going to use the Siera 4 cylinder motor and gearbox in it What a waste a big block would be better than a 4 banger
Cheers,
Bryan

I saw the series in the UK about 4 years ago and a lot must have been edited out on a typcial build.

An example...He unpacks the Pilgrim custom wiring loom wraps it around his neck makes a worried look on his face and the start of the very next episode shows the loom all fitted.

Wish it was that simple

Ps. It is very entertaining though.
