Default HELP!!! accelerator cable (what's it off?)

I snapped my cable at the nationals last year and did a patch-up to get it home.

Time to replace it; problem is I can't remember what car it came from.

All the local auto shops don't keep shelf stock and weren’t very helpful.

The cable is about 1.5 metres long.
The carby end fits over a small 5-6mm nipple with a clip over the top to secure it, it has a double screw adjustment bar and I Think it use to have a flexible rubber outer cover to keep the dust out.

It has a threaded rod that goes through the fire wall with a nut either side.

The peddle is out of a HQ Holden and has a hole for the end of the cable to come through and a little green clip that stops the ball on the end of the cable coming back through the hole.

You can get a cable from Lokar.

You said it has a threaded rod on it some maybe it is a CSR Zero Friction?

You can probably make your own inner wire cable and re-use your old outer. I made a new one for mine when I switched from the LS1 manifold to the 4 Barrel manifold. Check out your local bicycle shop, they sell the inner cable in various guages usually with one end swaged. You can often re-use your old cable ends.

Cheers

I used Flexdrive to make my cable up. They're in Adelaide (08 82689433) but their head office is either in Melbourne or Sydney. They've got every part imaginable to make cables up but I remember they don't do braided. Good luck!

Regards.

I went with a standard XF Falcon cable for mine.
