Rain Stiffy, you want some rain.
It has not stopped out here since Friday morning.
Here is the dry Todd river.
And this is the only access road to my house.
It got about 12 inches deeper later in the day but has started to receed now.
We have a yearly average of 270mm, In Januaray we had about 240mm, then last Friday we had just over 200mm, and a further 200 over the weekend.

How long would it take to get the tanks full with .2mm of rain?
It must drive the green lawn crowd crazy!
I'm an ex-Perth-ite. Have been living in the states for 31 years by one of the worlds largest water supply, the Great Lakes. Water's a good thing, pity it's so difficulty to transport.
Glad to see Custom car stuff is still alive and well in Perth. Is the 'Rod and Custom Club from the 60tees-70tees still alive?
Regards,
Arthur

The green lawns are few and far between now, my lawn is dust which makes mowing a non event.
There are several hot rod clubs in Perth and judging by the amount of black tyre marks on just about every street corner there is plenty of horsepower as well.
We are on tank water (140,000lt) which fills up in winter and we manage to get through summer just.
Still no sign of rain and temps in the high 30'sc. A couple of us went out for a moonlight cruise last night in the cobras when it was cooler.

Yeah the fella that drowned was an indigenouse guy, he tried to walk accross the river close to the second picture on Friday night (when it was at its peak).
He was walking/staggering from where he lives at a town camp and trying to make his way to the bottle shop (other side of the river).
A bit harsh to say he got what he deserved but a pretty stupid thing to do just to buy a carton of VB.

We're expecting 200mm tonight
I'll get the buckets out and save you some if you'd like
We had a nasty Porsche crash this morning due to the wet weather - terrible!

Tough choice
Apparently being under the influence of alcohol can impair one's judgement. Do I hang on or let go of the VB and come up for air? Tough choice..........
