Default Oz wheels australia

I know this is a long shot but I'll ask anyway. if anyone has some 17 x 10 or 17 x 9 ZO wheels Australia pin drive wheels laying around that they want to sell. The reason why I am asking is because they don't make them anymore and I would love to have another set for the rear so I can put some drag radials tyres on. I know I could just use standard five stud rims but then I have to take off my Pin drive hubs off every time I go dragging. I went racing for the first time last month and I think I caught the bug. Very hard to get the powerdown with Street radials.

What stud pattern do you need? I have spare pair of OZ centers for 4 3/4" PCD Pin drive. You may be able to get rim halves made up in the right offsets.

Cheers

Wonder where the wheel center patterns went?. Would be a nice addition for an Australian Wheel manufacturer to add to his range.

I am pretty sure I have a 5 x 114.3 PCD FROM R32 gtr skyline. So you're saying you've just got centres with no rims. If that's the case I'll have to get someone like dragway wheels to make up rims and change PCD .

That would of been good. I doubt oz wheels Australia would of thrown the patterns in the bin. I hate having wheels that I can't get parts for. I am very very careful when I park near a street curbs now.

It was my first time I ever drag raced before and I was very nervous. After waiting two hours I got only two runs because it was a last drag meat at calder park until they finish resurfacing the track. My First-run I overcooked it with Way too much wheelspin and The second run I took off okay then but then i missed third gear only got in the 13s. My new years resolution Is to get the car in the 12s. If I had a cleaner run I think I would've gotten in the 12s but for now I am a 13sec man. It was good fun But. Can't wait to go back Again.

This may be of assistance.

This is Peters mobile number. Peter used to run OZ wheel and may be able to provide you something. Its a long shot, but you never know what he may have laying around, and if thats the case, who would not want a few $$$ in the hand post x-mas.

Good looking pics as well, looks great on the strip.

Thanks mate. I will give him a call. It looks great on the strip because of all the hard work you put into it this car. I am not taking the credit for that.

With better tyres you will see a huge difference.

I run pretty consistant 7.2 over 1/8th with 1.6 60ft times.
I fitted a set of drag slicks and with only 1 scary pass (My LSD centre has failed) the car launced so much better and I had a 1.2 60ft from memory, with a lot of pedalling I got through the finish with 7.0 flat.

1.6 60ft time is really good mate you should be in the 11s easy. The other thing I think I need to do is either go taller tyres or go a 3.9 diff ratio because I only get 175 km out of 4 th gear with 4.11. With 3.9 diff I should get about 195 km in 4th with out change to 5th. Which is more then speed for 12 second pass.

From memory my best 1/4 was 12.2 or so.
That was with the 17 inch road tyres (Kumho Excsta KU36)

Here is a time slip over 1/4 with Goodyear Billboards.

Thats a 1.8 60ft.

What diff ratio and tyre hight are u running? I do u have to Shift to 5th at the end of your run or do u say in 4th. I was watching this factor 5 video and the are only running 3.2 diff ratio with 430 Bhp and they are pulling 11.5s but they only shift 4 times. Watch is video http://youtu.be/V96-AQ1FghI

1.6 to 1.8 is a very respectable 60' time for a street car. Boxhead, I'm assuming your 1.2 will have been a typo, otherwise you'd have nearly been doing this...

No biggy, I reckon yours was definitely in the 7's just not that far

I haven't had mine on a decent track with the truck motor in it but it still managed a respectable 11.3 given there was sand everywhere at the Geelong revival in 2013.

A few Qlders were at Willowbank a few months ago. Warren, Ash, Wayne..all running in the 10s I think. Was Jim up there as well?

Wazza or Towie, what were your incremental times?
