Also consider getting along to one or two Cobra Car Club Vic meetings and perhaps join. There is a fantastic body of knowledge there.
I wouldn't worry about an engineer if I were you - hardly seems likely rego would be required 
Keep us posted with your progress (no pics = no progress)
-> You sitting in the shell just after unloading is mandatory
