I'm a huge fan of the LS7..

I read a ton of info on it before I bought one for the new car, and I just couldn't find any negative comments about it.

I also thought it would be cool to have a 427 C.I. under the bonnet.

Those engines that Aussie Mike speaks of sound pretty cool too.

All that aside....
The Coyote is also an awesome bit of kit.....

You're on a winner either way.

IMHO once you go away from a windsor it does not matter what you put in the car.....When emissions turned nasty for awhile I had no problems accepting that I may need to use an LS motor in my GT40 but that has all gone away now.

My next car which should be an Ultima will have LS7 power.

The LS donks are to die for, Old Ford stuff is great but OLD and exy to modify. Coyote is the 2nd generation pretend LS motor............

I also didn't really care as to Ford or GM, just how good the engine is.

I went for a LS3 and shoved a supercharger on the top. It will give more power then the LS7 (LS7 is standard form) and the motor is strong enough in standard form to handle the forced induction. I can change rods/pistons/cams/rocker ratio's etc.... and get even more, but it will have enough in standard form with little tuning. Total cost was close to the LS7 but when you open the bonnet and see the red supercharger there, it looks pretty impressive and the sound

Car is not far away from be driven, Monday is the day weather permitting where ABS and other things will be checked. There was no way that I was not having ABS on my Cobra with a lot of opwer by the way.
