Not sure what the final count was, probably about 45 to 55, well short of the 80 or so booked in. I think the weather forecast probably put quite a few off. It was ok till about 10am Saturday (when I left), Friday was freezing.

Just looking at the grid I thought I'd counted about 45 while there; maybe these pics were taken before everyone turned up?

Oh here comes another one proving just what a fast little peddler he is.

I had 80 entrants come through go-whoa. There were 84 entries, and I think it was only the broken cars and one double entrant that didn't run on saturday

Default It was cold alright

I flew to Canberra late Friday intending to visit Wakefield Sat and Sunday. I'd have been taking my new car down for it's virgin track outing, only a trip to Korea looms tomorrow so just no time to get back from Goulburn.

I awoke to pouring rain and 1 degree in Canbrrrrrra Saturday morning with a delemma, off to the track to get wet and cold or lunch at a winery with some old mates........some say I'm crazy, but I took the later.

Sunday morning was actually sunny (still 1 degree) so of a mate and I set for the track in his ball tearing HX Monaro.

What a sight, Cobbies everywhere and that unmistakeable roar of a V8 in full song........tingly all over I was. We spent the day watching all the drivers having a hoot, great rivalry from weekend crisers to VERY serious competitors with big budgets and horsepower to match. Scotty in his Venom JPS beast and John White in the RCR GT40 were the guys to beat. What was Yves doing out there embarrasing Cobras in a dunnydoor ute for godsake?

The Monaro even had a trackblat when a shower sent the Cobbies off and us tintops were allowed out to help dry the track out.

Anyway, it was great to meet you forum guys in the flesh, everyone friendly and keen to chat about their cars.

BTW my 3 boxes of trickflow bits arrived last week, so when me and the windsor guru in the gold car can get organised we'll get my baby cooking....ready for Nationals 2012!

Greg
