I have also removed the front diff, won't be needing that and the extra weight it has....

The motor is in!!!

Will attache some pics to show progress..

HSV extractors bolt straight on to the drivers side, passengers side needed some tweaking but fit now very well.

Some more pics....

Long range fuel tank with the surge tank and Holden pump / regulator located inside. The standard Rodeo pump will feed the surge tank internally...

The front end looks a bit empty without driveshafts in there!
Great work Ash.

Well progression has been slow but should get moving pretty rapidly again soon.
I have relocated the shifter position from the factory location forward about 200mm so it comes up through the hole where the Rodeo one did. I just have to lengthen it now so I can change gears without leaning forward off the seat.....
Engine is back in, fitted the engine cover, just a bit of trimming around the clutch master cylinder. Radiator hoses are coming together from bits & pieces we had lying around and the factory ones. HOpe to bolt up the extractors today and lengthen the shifter. All good!!

I cant believe how easy it fits, the drivers side HSV wxtractor just bolted straight up, plenty of clearance. The passenger side I just cut underneath the pipes & bent them in, perfect! Holden should have offered it as an option....

Great work Ash.

Holden should have built this car themselves. I reckon they would have sold heaps.

cheers

Ok so now have fitted the cats to the extractors, next up will be the rest of the exhaust. Have also sorted out radiator hoses, heater hoses, alternator and starter motor cables, just used the factory stuff.

Well done! I am particularly impressed with how you managed to integrate all the harness aspects into the car.
