Steering Wheel\Boss ADR approved
I've done a search and cant find the info I'm after (but I'm sure its been discussed before)
I'm pretty sure my Nardi Wheel will not pass engineering, so am looking for another that might be a bit better for track days but not look too out of place in the car. Maybe something like this Saas (which are all adr approved)
If I get this and the standard saas boss is that OK for engineering?

Hi Andy, Not sure about NSW but in VIC I also had to add some dense foam padding to the steering wheel metal faces. similar to the padding for the edge of the dash.
My Steerng wheel is a Momo.
cheers Gregg

My engineer told me to keep the original (Suzuki) steering wheel for rego for the same reason as Gregg.

RMS have been quite good on this one. They are accepting ADR10/01 so pretty much any saas or autotecnica. Just check you can get the certificate for the model before purchase. I have email address for autotecnica MD.

I got through in May this year with an AutotecnicA wheel and boss, I asked for and received supporting information from Tony Vita the MD of AutotecnicA Imports.
Tony's advice was that all wheels & bosses had been tested but not all combinations and this was accepted by both my engineer and the RMS.
Note: this was submitted under the old scheme when times were tough so I expect that this would still hold true given that the VSCCS online system for the engineers contains a directive to use ADR10-01 ( Treeve could confirm )

I got mine through with an after market wheel from autotecnica. It was a few years back though. The engineer just asked me to put s high density foam pad on the center over the boss.
Cheers
