Fantastic news Brad!

Can't wait to see your car...I'll be up on the Gold Coast from this Thursday for 8 days, so I'll be dropping into Pace as well. Can you please PM me your mobile and I'll give you a call when I get to QLD.

Waiting, waiting, waiting.....

400TT 09-17-2014 06:24 AM

All I will say is a quote from the engineer "Brad the next time you hear from me will be when I have your registration approval". Or something along those lines.

From my point of view it was a spectacular day, I have taken a lot of vehicles for lane change tests, but this one was something special.

Brad can fill in the details....

Wazza 09-17-2014 07:37 AM

I never had any doubts.....
Congrats boys....the first one was always going to be a bit of a journey...

Now get your rings into gear, and pump out another 30 or 40.... Too easy !!

Cheers,
Warren

Great to see your car this week Brad.

Looks great and is a credit to all involved.

No video

The car passed the lane change test with flying colours.

The track driver that did the lane change test couldn't get the grin off his face the whole time we were doing the test.

The last run through the lane change test was 120 kms per hour and the Pace 427 SC did it without any trouble at all.

He kept doing track circuits the long way round like a Taxi driver for the next lane change test , If Craig had not wanted to get back to work then I think we might have still been there the next morning.

Just as a foot note Paul Morris from V8 Supercars said that the build of the Pace 427 SC was very Impressive.

I have taken the car home tonight to show her indoors who writes the cheques and must be obeyed for a look and she was awestruck.

When the car is fully registered test drives can be organised by appointment (that's if anybody is interested)

Its been a wonderful experience building the Absolute Pace 427 SC and I am truly in awe of the finished product

Cheers

Brad

P.S. I am biased of course

Modena 09-18-2014 04:05 AM

Well congratulations! But......now the car has run around the car park, driven through engineering, and done a track lane change test, and their STILL isn't any video?

Craig especially, I am surprised.

Hi Ben

Come to the Nationals in NSW and we can go for a drive then you won't need a video.
It will be nice to meet you in the flesh

Cheers

Brad

Modena 09-18-2014 04:52 AM

Thanks for the generous offer Brad, I will be there. There are a lot of people following the build of this first Pace and they want video!!!

leroy17 09-18-2014 05:08 AM

Brad, you may have to give in to the villagers and get a video.

Take the bonnet off and show how that damn sexy suspension works whilst driving..... Wait on, take the trunk off as well and stick a camera in there as well..... Oh and also for the drivers seat as your sitting the most spacious and comfy cockpit in a cobra yet, oh and also take video of that stunning paint work.... Oops I meant the standard gel coat, also include the trick tail lights as well.

A documentary vid would be a great thing.......... Mmmmmmmm

sambo 09-18-2014 07:15 AM

Ahem... the "standard gel coat" doesn't look all shiny. It's more than a few extra bob for that lovely finish if I'm not mistaken - based on the options list that was floating around at Shelbyfest. Not to detract from all the great work, just saying...

the full body detail is $1.870.00 that's remove all mould lines full buff and wax still a ****load cheaper than what a paint job would cost you .
:-)
cheers dean

Hi Sambo

That "shiny" finish that you can see is the accumulation of 18 months of dust and other stuff on the gel coat.

The body hadn't been washed or polished for the whole time of the build which picture are you referring to.

I looked at a few pictures that I posted and I couldn't find any really dull non shiny pictures.

I will try and get Wazza to take a video today and I will have the body detailed next week.

Cheers

Brad

I dropped in to AP last weekend and Craig couldn't help but show me around. Even sat in a newly finished, ready for registration car. Very nice (thanks Brad).

Craig showed me a body that was just out of the mould with al the seams still in tact. The finish was incredible. As shiny as a painted car without a doubt. Maybe not the depth like Candy Apple Red of course but it was impressive. Not sure of the cost to remove and fill the seams but that is apparently the most popular (90%) preference. The other cars there with this option were just amazing.

I'll bet it is one of the questions Craig is asked more than anything else ... So what else have you done to get that to look so smooth?

Geof

Congratulations, Brad, and all at AP. It is great to see the first AP 427 pass its road and engineering tests with flying colours.

You must be delighted, Brad - and deservedly so. After all that hard work, now you get to do the fun stuff - drive the car! Looking forward to seeing you and it in a couple of weeks at the Nationals.

And now to get the first AP registered in NSW.... I'm working hard to make that happen!!

Bodies are full gloss finished as they are delivered to all customers, no extra charge. Just check the photos.

We do charge extra if you want us to remove the body parting lines (seams) and to give it a full detail.
