Brad.
We really need to see and hear this, and i know i must be speaking for over 100 people !

spookypt 08-20-2014 09:13 PM

Brad, have you got your name down on the QLD Accom registry for the Nats? An updated one went out earlier this week and I didn't see your name on itor any new PACE Cars save and except for Sneeky's and a V10 Harrison.

Also, the NSWCCC is running a strict cut off this year (no last minute entries being accepted) so best pay your entry $'s now and get on that QLD accom list and book your rooms as well so as we have a new car to talk/walk about on the trip South.

Really looking forward to seeing it up close and running!

Nationals 2014

Hi Spook

I haven't nominated for any of the events because the car will be so neeeeew and I don't want to break something.

I have booked my accommodation in Goulburn where all the Cobra guys are staying and the car will be garaged at the track in the Absolute Pace garages.

I just want to experience the drive to Wakefield Park from Queensland and back again.

I will be at the next QLD Cobra Club breakfast to talk to anyone who is interested about the car.

Tonus I don't know how to do a video and a noise recording but I will try to get Craig to post it on his Facebook Page.

Cheers

Brad

Brad,

You need to upgrade to an iPhone or Galaxy S4 or S5. Easy one touch HD quality video recording!! Just use the 'Camera' app on the phone. Easy as pie!

:3DSMILE:

As an aside, so happy for you that your car is running! Can't wait to see it in person in September.

spookypt 08-21-2014 04:09 AM

That's great Brad. Don't forget RT and bellingen for your accom also. Plus dinners in goulburn at the event gatherings. I'm sure many will be keen to sound out your experience with the AP build. I'd love to have a sit if I can be so bold in asking too! See u there.

Bloody soft. Getting to the first corner and not knowing whether your new car was actually going to stay in one piece while going round is all part of the fun. After that first spin off the nerves settle and the red mist rises....most fun you can have sitting down.

Be great to see you there either way. :)

Cheers

This thread seems to have gone quiet.
Where's the video we are all dying to see Brad ????

Lane change test Monday

Hi Chris,

The thread has been a bit quiet because I have been flat out working on the car getting it ready for the lane change test on Monday 8th Sep.

I had a few issues with the fuel system which was that I had the vent line from the charcoal canister to the tank on the wrong fitting on the charcoal canister which was giving me a vacuum in the tank.

The other engine issue was the plug on the coil that wasn't pushed in far enough , my fault I didn't want to force anything being new and all.

But it now runs like a dream now so smooth .

We ran the car around the complex the other day and you can see the bell crank suspension working it looks really cool to see than when you are driving.

I will try and get a video on Monday at the lane change test.

Cheers

Brad

Brad,

Make sure you contact the organising committee and even just enter in the cruise part of the event. If you don't enter and get your meals paid for on the friday, saturday and sunday night then you will be sitting by yourself at the motel..... Either that or I can add you on to my entry for the dinners. Let me know.

Ash.

He's right you know..........C'mon Brad, I bet Craig is busting to see it driven in anger too

I thought that I was going to be the first to see it on the track at Norwell as I've a booking with Ray to do my Dax's lane change test in the 17th and Craig has one of his cars there to do as well.

If it's not you then I wonder who else?

I must have got the dates mixed up

Engineer's report on Monday 8th September

Lane change test on the 17th September

All I have to do is get it ready for the engineer's inspection on Monday

Cheers

Hi Brad,
Looking forward to your success in getting your dream car on the road, especially all of us who have followed your build. Although I am benefitting in getting your build completed via photos and improvements of the research and development that is occurring during this process, (slightly biased), you have put your dream into the public arena. I know there are critics out there but in reality it is fantastic that a local Australian company is manufacturing in Australia who employs local talent and parts, and putting their heart and sole into this product is which is not only commendable, but increasingly lacking. Although there are the critics, who have their personnel reasons, I can only back the efforts of the PACE company and your efforts of getting it on the road. Hopefully I shall one day be as motivated as you and complete my build. I wish you all the best and if one day I can only see your car registered it will be a win not only for local manufacturing but shall silence those critics a little (I hope their build is a success too, any Cobra is a beautiful thing, and I admire and appreciate their efforts too). Your persistence, perspiration and efforts of those who have supported you will see the build a success.
Keep up the good work. Don't rush it, enjoy the build, and make it what you want. Thanks for the journey, Pigsear.

Great, see you at Norwell then.

Pigsear...thumbs up from me mate

Hi Mate

I have had a few small problems mainly a sore back and hip that has required treatment , but that aside I put the gauges and the dash back in the car today and it started first go (Typical Windsor).

I have only to put the passengers seat in the car.

Fit rear view mirrors, wind wings, sun visors, reflectors, check all fluids again, secure brake fluid feed hoses to the master cylinders, align the bonnet and boot, fill the fuel tank with fuel and its off to the engineer on Wednesday.

I can't work on Monday Because I have doctors appointments which is a pain in the you know what.

Every thing is going to plan even if its a few days later than I would have liked but that's the way life goes I suppose.

Wazza is at Absolute Pace getting his car ready for the Cobra Nationals Show and Shine,I just thought that I would give everyone the heads up cause I don't want him to get an unfair advantage on the rest of us.

Cheers

Brad
