Default 347 Windsor stroker EFI build

I'm looking for someone to build a 347 windsor stroker with EFI in Melbourne. Can anyone make a recommendation based on good quality work at a reasonable price. Also any recommendation on the actual EFI system to use as I've heard mixed reports. Looking for a sequential system and one that will pass the IM240 requirements in Victoria.

Default Ford

Oilman,

Contact Don at Wellco as suggested.

He is Ford specialist and sponsor of the Cobra Club Of Victoria.

There's a 347 already built for sale within the Qld Cobra Club.

From memory;
Dart SHP short block (big bore, short stroke combo)
Edelbrock alloy heads
Ferrea valves
Isky springs
Crower enduro stainless roller rockers
Hydro roller cam/lifters

It's for sale either with an Edelbrock/Holley 650, or a Mass Flo EFI system.

Very reasonable price.

It's not a brand new motor in Vic, but send me a PM if you're interested in more info.

Cheers

Oilman

If Craig is making the recommendation take it seriously.

If that option doesn't work out I'm a times 4 for Wellco too, though I have to admit my engine is still yet to fire in anger.

However based on plaugerism of another motor Don did with an E303 cam fitted and alloy heads, mine once fitted with the E303 will supposedly be good for about 220kW or about 300 neddies at the back wheels from an other wise stock 5L.

Given I got myself into strife with a sad tired 5L, imagine what a fresh Wellco 347 will do for you!!

Cheers

The very Slowmeister

Probably best to just run a stock engine till you get through rego and then tweak it later.

If you are after a 347 how about a Ford factory built one.

I know of a Tickford T3 engine for sale at the moment. These are a factory built stroker motor that was the last of the Windsors and the most powerful the Ford factory ever put in a production car. They have lots of goodies in them including Heads ported by yella tera, roller rockers, billet rods, stroker crank, main bearing girdle etc. Built more for low down torque than high reving HP. They make 250KW with 500Nm of torque.

I've got one in my ute.

I know a block in Geelong if you are still looking. He built my 331 and made 451hp@6100 and 433ft/lb. Can still drive at 1500rpm in top gear with a carbie and points dizzy.
