I wish I was out there today Les; looks like perfect weather for it.

No doubt about it - Mark's car is a weapon and he's incorporated heaps of trick gear into it. He has built most of it himself too, so it's a real credit to him. Grant Watson drove it recently and had some great things to say about the car. I would love to see Mark take it out to QR or Morgan Park so it can stretch its legs.

So when can we expect yours to be completed? I'm looking forward to another RMC hitting the road!

I understand Mark is considering going out to Warwick shortly but he doesn't enjoy the club scene so who knows what will happen. )

Actually, the block in Marks cobra is the very same you provided a link to a while back when I requested leads for "affordable" alloy blocks. I think that was before the server crash.

Mine is essentially finished but not yet registered.

Just cleaning up some minor issues.

Les, what could mark possibly not like about the club scene?

With mark and geoff t now running sequential boxes I wonder if this the way things are going with weekend racing?

I did some rough googling and they seem pretty exy?

I'm not the right fella to answer this Matt. Seems a Northside thing, enough over here to start their own club.

Mark has a heap of mates from V8 Supercars circles so knows when bits are being pensioned off. Helps a heap.

He was booked in to do the B series sprints this year at Warwick. Hasn't turned up to an event yet so we don't know how fast he is. He tends to do events that the rest of the Cobra fraternity don't attend......

Generally the B series sprints have a slower field..... so he will look fantastic against them.

How do you call yourself Queenslands fastest Cobra when you don't race against other Cobras??

Tch, tch, Ash - Now why would a "1967 Ford Mongrel 289 AC Cobra" want to play with ordinary replicas that have cheater motors state of the art braking , handling options and slicks ?

Ooops, Ouch! bite tongue

Mark didn't turn up at Warwick as the new horse broke the old diff. New one is pretty tasty.
Ive driven Marks Cobra several times and its a very well developed piece of kit.
Its not supercharged or a NASCAR engine like some are dribbling about , but a very well bred 4999 cc Alloy small block and heads and an awesome gearbox setup. Nothing could get near it at the 4th July day at the Lake last weekend. Mark was at McLean's Bridge and ran against the BDM Car and left it choking on fumes.
I race at all the Qld tracks and also crew for Mark fairly regularly , i don't see many of u guys out there at many of the 26 events we do each season !!!!. LOL
