Yes KU36's again, but got them at a pretty good price off an ebay tyre seller.
Got 2 x 245/45/17 and 2 x 315/35/17 for around $1000 shipped from Syd to Melb. (I couldn't have done that with oseas supplier as I would have hit the magic $1000 threshold for duty and GST etc)
315's fill the guards very nicely.
Hopefully the driver's skills have improved to take advantage of them :-)

Those are good tires.
Make sure to heat cycle them before you give them a hiding!

Hi Gav
Have another old set of tyres AO50,s front, Dunlop rears with tread from last years SF. You must be down to slicks by now should I pack them so you can get through scrutineering.

Hi Guys
I am new here and to the Cobra in general and I would like to get to know doe of the locals.
I just read about the Shelbyfest and it sounds like a good place to meet some of you guys.
I would like to come up for a day only (that's all the time I have) on Saturday to say hello and see what the event and club is all about. Its probably too late to register to do any laps on the circuit, so I am happy to be a spectator and talk to people about their cars and my own. I was thinking of coming up with a friend to keep me company on the boring hume drive
I have a DRB car, that's not the best looking cobra out there that needs a lot of work so I hope its not embarrassing to the club.
Do I need to fill out any forms before Saturday to enter Winton or chat to you guys or do I just rock up? Are there any go fast rules for newbies to follow?
Thanks guys and looking forward to rubbing shoulders with you fine lot
Kris

Don't use 17's rims Ash. Best bet for continuous supply of second hand tyres V8 development series. I still think they are on 17's.

Hi Kris
Its not to late to register for Saturday gates open at 8.00am and scrutineering starts at 8.15am and we start on track at 9.00am and finish at 5.00pm. The Saturday fee only is $200.00. Entry to the track to watch is free and access to the pits is not restricted.

Kris, You will luv it at ShelbyFest, wall to wall Cobras of all kinds. Don't worry if your car is not looking the best. The first time I came up to ShelbyFest mine wasn't painted, no interior, no britework etc. Lots of people to talk to and you will get to see lots of great ideas from the cars there. Also, regarding going on the track, you are placed in groups with matching cars/driver skills & experience so no need to worry about cars screaming past you or holding anyone up etc.
Cheers Gregg

Thanks LJ and Gregg.
I am looking forward to it.
I might just come and watch this time as I will be riding up in the morning.
Will have to bring my camera to get some nice photos of all the pimped up cars.
And just imagine east mine might look like one day
Hope the weather holds. My car has no top :-(

I will meet at Wallan OutBound BP/Macca’s 7:45am with any others who are going up the Hume as per d4's post in the other thread. My license plate is COILED so I shouldn't be too hard to spot
My car has no top or any nice little luxuries and I doubt an umbrella will fair well at 110 on the hume for 2 hours so I hope the weather holds too.
Really excited to meet everyone and get some thought on what I can fix on my car.
