That cover is way cool, I can only think of the various things that could be made...... Yep.. I could only think... I would have on idea on how to do it.
For what it's worth, I prefer the natural vents and the either the natural or black mirror . |
Oh, and the brushed finish...... That's the money... Never ever gets old and is so classy. Kind of like the stainless hood on a Rolls. That's cobra class right there.

Natural vents look good. As Leroy said, both mirrors look good. Unless you are going with the blacked out theme all over...?

My concern was that the vent and the anodised mirrors are a slightly different "shade" Maybe with time it will blend. Damage- I have already orders hinge covers, I have to do some minor mods to the die before I make more, maybe this weekend. |

My own Vac Former
Had some time this morning, so I thought I would build my own vac. former, it was costing me too much in Bourbon to have my mate do it for me.
I found this old vax in the shed. [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps8d918f0a.jpg[/IMG] Built a bit of a box and mounted the vax underneath [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps2b521f80.jpg[/IMG] Made a perforated top [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps96eb987d.jpg[/IMG] assembled the vac former [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps5c804520.jpg[/IMG] made a MDF frame to hold the plastic [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps45fd1360.jpg[/IMG] mysteriously it ended up the same size as the oven tray.... how convenient [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps5f7ffe3c.jpg[/IMG] bake for about 5 mins or until sufficient sag has been achieved in the plastic. turn on the vax remove frame from oven and place over die that is sitting in the middle of the perforated top hey presto a hinge cover for the Kirkham [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps1d2746f3.jpg[/IMG] And finally installed [IMG]http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psdc91b2b5.jpg[/IMG] It is black its just the camera flash that makes it look grey. I know its not double over head valve rockers arms with multipoint bling and really awesome bits but I thought it was pretty cool and may be of interest for someone. Cheers |
