OK, So your a Lexus/Toyota fan. That's as good a reason as any.

Don't dismiss that old tech so quickly. GM built a quad cam 32 valve V8 with input from Lotus. It was looking like being the replacement for the old Gen 2 small block and was used in the Corvette for a while. They went back to the drawing board and settled on a push rod wedge cylinder head design for the Gen 3 and Gen 4. No plans to change either as the design works incredibly well. The design of their wedge cylinder heads is very efficient.

HAIL, Welcome and congrats...
I hope your pace comes together as quickly and as nicely as possible for you.

For some silly reason I thought DAMAGE might have posted a response...
Sorry, I know bad joke... But with winter approaching I thought you might forgive me for going there... Also you must excuse me, English isn't my first language either

Oh Dimis,

Is that a poor attempt of humour, as in "Hail" "Damage" or am I ABSOLUTELY off the PACE.

So what is the theory behind that gt40 scoop anyway? Presume it draughts the air straight out after passing through the radiator, but won't the engine bay itself get a bit hot? I thought these cobras originally suffered heating problems brought on from a small nose and large engine, (well larger than originally anticipated) so dragging the airflow out before it reaches the engine seems wrong to me.

Anyone - feel free to educate me!

Hi guye, sorry about late and mixed replies, theory behind GT40 scoop I would be using the cobra at HWY speeds and traffic so the more air through the radiator the better, and there is enough venting to tap into and fit ducting in and around shroud I don't think it would be an issue, Craig is working it out and I know his standards, some pics with the front vents, thx for you interest and comments.

Regards,

Guye at track speed a scoop just adds to it wanting to rip your bonnet off!!! I've got 6 100mm hole saw cuts in mine and it stills wants to bend like a banana. The cobra in my previous pick has a reverse scoop so the hot air sucks out rather than forward face and compress air in the bay.
I saw ozvenoms bonnet come off at speed at QR a few years ago. Must have gone 30 feet in the air!!!! At legal road speed it wouldn't be an issue.

Spook
