just scored a belly lifter hoist to put the cobra on gee it's made it a lot easier to work on should have bought one yrs ago lol... damm upload of pictures failed not sure what i done wrong there ..

anyway bit of a update auto spary has 99% finished just a bit of tidying up to do all lights work dash is all wired up fuel pumps ect done car should start if we put fuel in it .
i am just building the exhaust atm when ive got some pipes on both sides will give it a kick in the guts and see if she fires up .
getting there bit by bit bad health slowed me up for about 8 months but seem back on top of it now so getting more accomplished this build has been going on far to long now time to put it too bed and finish it .

Have you any thoughts on lubricating the bores pre start up on a motor that hasn't run In over a year or 2?

I would pull the spark plugs for inspection, pull both valve covers, turn the engine by hand, and make sure all valves open AND CLOSE.

Seen a few engines with valves stuck in the guides.

If the engine has not been near moisture, the bores should be fine.

I would be more concerned about the rubbish LS valvetrain.
