Default Balance on Australian Tickford V8s?

Anybody know if Australian Tickford 5.0 litre Windsor V8s were zero (internal) balanced when they were re-built by Tickford, or did they stay as originally built, with 50oz flywheel and HB balancing?
Cheers,
Glen

Small Block Fords 260, 289, 302 used an imbalance of 28oz up till about 1981 and later SBF 5 Litre (302) EFI = 50 oz
The Tickford stroker 342 / 7? maybe 54 oz --could be rumour ?

The Tickfords were stripped and rebuilt (including blueprinting?), so I'm wondering if better balancing ('internal' balancing of the crank in particular) was part of it.

Aussie Mike - you probably know more about this than ......me?

Cheers,
Glen

What about the non-strokers?
...and the 5.6 litre / 342ci is a unique balance?

I believe the 5.0 Ticford motors used a fairly stock bottom end, crank, rods pistons etc. Performance upgrades were made with heads and cam changes.

The 5.6 used the block and not much else.

You might want to try over on Australian Ford Forums - Powered by vBulletin There's a dedicated tickford section on there.

Cheers
