The coyote has passed emissions with an 8 stack inlet for use in ICV's here in Australia. Base package makes 510hp, optioned 570hp.

Roger, it's usually the case that anyone who jumps straight in promoting their company without any introduction is given a bit of stick.....
....but it's great to have you join the site. I'm sure we could all learn from your significant experience, and hope you might be able to add some technical input into the occasional future discussion.

They probably call it a bit of a dog, because it likes to pi$$ on a lot of things.

Leaks oil too does it? I'll have to remember that next time someone parks one in my driveway. :p

So we presume that you park your AU 347 in the street for that same reason.:o

I know this will piss some people off but make sure you pick a FORD engine! A Cobra with anything else is just not right! And to go a little further, it needs push rods too! :3DSMILE:

No, it marks its spot in the garage next to the land rover which also marks its territory. :3DSMILE:

There's an argument to be made that the LS series engines are more closely related in design to old school fords, be it BBF or SBF engines. Bar of course the badge on the valve covers. :o

Just saying

Ps. Best not give mike any more ammunition.
Right now I have him up 3:0 on the score board. Ouch!

351W build

Don Pelling at PACE has just finished my 351W build and looks to be doing a great job from these pics I just received.

Looking forward to posting some audio.

Still not a Ford though. Got nothing against the engines but personally, if I walk up to a Cobra at a car show and it has anything but a Ford engine, I keep walking.

You're missing out on the finer details of many of the best built Cobras in the country then...

Yeah, probably but it's just something I can't ignore. Not saying these cars are no good, just not for me.

Wazza 12-27-2014 07:20 AM

Here we go again...it's just GOTTA be Ford huh ?,

but it's ok if the car has a commodore rear end,a Torana front end,a Toyota gear box, and the body is made out of fibreglass, and has bolt on wheels, and fake side pipes, and Mazda Mx5 seats......etc.etc.....but it's just GOTTA be Ford...or it just isn't like a REAL Cobra.......classic !

I recon it can be any nice v8 / v10...don't get the "gotta be Ford" thing...
(unless..of course,if you've decided on building an EXACT replica Cobra.)

I've had both ford and Chev...both great.

Cheers,
Warren

It's probably just as well that those 'stuck on ford' guys move on, I'm sure the real enthusiasts (ford & non-ford alike) would prefer to dialogue with someone that has a deeper understanding of the hobby.

I know exactly what you mean!
If I'm at a car show, and there's a 427cobra there, and it doesn't have a dog leg shifter with the reverse lock out "t", then I keep on walking too.

I mean the nerve of these hot rodders, to use something thats not quite original. Sheesh. :p
