Usually I prefer cash Don.

Bugger Laner that it clashes with something you have on. Urgh its always hard to try and pick dates that work for everyone but I'll make sure we see you on the next one.

Hard working around dates too as Bathurst 12 hour is on which Im trying to get down to visit the DCS garage and then the usual other stuff.

Its hard when the Brisbane guys make a huge effort to come up this way and the pressure is on with the weather and coffee etc.

I did think about a run up to Ricks Diner but its hours are 10 - 10 generally so early birds would be left scratching their nuts but at least you'd get a pole in the car park lol.

At this stage its 7am at Etamogah, run up the Bruce Hwy, back towards the coast past at Eumundi and coffee and then a run back down the Suncoast Motorway home.
Ive got to take the youngster to swimming/surfing lessons at 9.30 so its still just a nice early run and chin wag before we all do what we like thereafter.

Well Muz it is going to be on Valentine's Day after all and I'd probably have made an effort to put the stuff in a cooler box of some sort so that it all arrives fresh.

I like the imagery though! If only I still had enough hair to put flowers in -- wilted or not!

Every days valentines day for me so I wasn't aware of the event date clash.

Does that cause an issue for others and their missusususz, girlfriends or concubines?

Boobs and a pulse are my two key criteria. Anything more is a bonus.

I'm sure that can be arranged Towie.

Seeing that Spooky the rainmaster, from his hinterland hideaway, cast his spell over the Brunswick Heads bowls day, there should be a few Brisbaneites keen to give their cars a run after Waz correctly called the event off at the eleventh hour.

Ahh, so keen but all out of get-out-of-jail-cards!

Choosing the cobra over the missus on valentines day won't end well.

Ok looks like I've found a good place.

Have a look at Bulli Cafe at Marcoola.

Its in a quiet little street with a reasonable amount of street parking and you generally can see your cars from the front of the café. By all reports the food and coffee are great.

I haven't as yet spoken to the owner about our visit but it looks like it opens at 8am on Sundays AND as a bonus for those that don't get to it very often, the beach is directly across the road so you could go for a nice swim should you feel the urge.

I think this is a goer for SCCnC3. As long as the weather is good (I'll post up on this topic the night before that we're ON (no rain)) how many of us do we think will be joining in so as I can give the owner a rough idea?

I'd suggest we all still meet at Ettamogah at 7, depart 7.15/7.30 head up the Sunshine Coast Motorway, taking the Mudjimba exit north of the Maroochy River, then up past the Sunshine Coast Airport and turn right just before what was once a great resort Hyatt Coolum...... till Palmer Fluffed it!

It'll then be an 8am coffee and breaky and leave whenever you care. I'll head about 9.30 for the usual Sunday morning session for 3 yo's swimming lessons. :-)

If the weather is good...I'm intending to go.
Happy to send out an e-mail to see who else ( i.e. people who might not read the forum) would be keen.
Let me know if that's cool....I don't want to make it difficult.
Cheers,
Warren

Wazz, I'm all for more the merrier....but... If we make it a qccc email post out we would need to get a list of numbers certainty as it'd be poor form for us to rock up on Valentine's Day to the cafe with 20 ? Odd unannounced.

Generally the sccnc gets between 1 and 10 so it's easy for the cafe to cater but more than that on Valentine's Day might be an issue for them.

Wazz my post kinda sounded a bit pompous. Happy to do a qccc run but can we get numbers that's all.

Ps I was going to ring ya but I figured you'd be polishing billet .

I may not be attending yet.... I have bought a land cruiser off boxhead and I may be driving it back from Alice Springs that weekend.
Anyone keen for a road trip along the 'Plenty Highway' (weather permitting) let me know.
