Argh, I was just talking to Dan Bowden about Sundays breaky and he was quite keen to bring this ole girl along. Ron Thorpes as raced at the "farm".

Sadly he has a club show to do on Sunday so dates and times clash but he's keen to come along to the next one! Kinda cool I reckon.

My "Field of Dreams" theology, that if one creates a place for people to come too, they in turn will.

We'll see. Be good just to get the cars out and have a blat!

Big thanks to everyone who came today. I'll post some pics tomozo. Ended up with 20 cars and 40 people. Big thumbs up to Wazza who came from the goldy and even bigger well done to Schipps (Mick) who came from bundaberg and left at 3.30am in the morning.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and venue. The motoring journo came and will do a story in next Saturday's paper. I'll post a link to that when it comes out.

So again thanks everyone the SC CnC3 was a great success. Matt

Brilliant day yesterday...

Many Thanks Matty for making this happen.

Bit of an early start...I was up at 4-30 a.m...

But nothing like Mick Schipper ...ON THE ROAD at 3-30 a.m. to drive down from Bundaberg.

Best time of the day...crisp air...little traffic....and blue skies... Really nice run.

Great group of people, and some top cars to check out.
Great venue...looks like we'll be back there as often as possible.

The Sun had some bite in it by the time I got back home at 1-30p.m.....but a a great 440 klm. "quick" run.

I've put a few pictures on the following link.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ro7hbo4mi...VlSu3Np6a?dl=0

The pictures include....( and here comes the Advert )......the first sighting of Neil McKenzie's BEAUTIFUL black Absolute Pace P427, recently registered in Brisbane.

He's done a great job of polishing the gelcoat body...I actually thought he must have decided to paint it...a real credit to him.

AND...also the first run for another Queensland AP...
Chris Lane's great looking Blue and White combo

Good to see new blood in the club...and some new cars making their debut.

Thanks again Matty ( SpookyPT) for arranging a top day out.

Cheers,
Warren

Great PICS Wazza.

Feedback from Benny the owner of the Bulli Café was "Awesome mate, the staff and customers loved it too!! Come back again soon!!!"

Feedback from Iain Curry Motoring Reporter Sunshine Coast Daily was "Hi mate, I was there with the family, got some great pics. Fantastic show! The 458 looked nice too, but not a patch on some of those Cobras. Will do a write up for the paper for next Saturday, will call u for an interview next week when suits you. Cheers! Iain "

Some iPhone pics:
The Datto ready to lift her skirt. All dressed up with somewhere to go.

The northerners lining up waiting for our Southern Cousins..

The Café. We sorta took over!

Really pleased that everyone had a great run. I think the owner of the Bulli Café is keen for us to call it our Sunny Coast haunt. Im OK with that.
Everyone was super on time and really friendly. Everyones cars looked awesome and looked bloody impressive. The AP Cars (OK Wazza they can get a mention) looked awesome in fact it was only Towy's Rat Rod Cobra and Wazzas car blowing smoke that let the rest of the gleam team down!!

Sunny Coast CNC4 is already in the planning. I'll post some date options soon (April) as well as a link to next Saturdays article.

Seeing familiar cars is great, but seeing new cars is brilliant. An excellent day and I'm keen to add a regular trip north into my far-from-full social calendar.
Do you reckon more Gold Coasters would come if they had more sleep-in time? Beauty sleep???
Actually, even more people attending might be a logistical problem for the cafe because we already took the majority of tables...

Rat Rod Cobra........ Lets call it well used.
Although I haven't seen one photo of that awesome looking blue Cobra (that everyone has copied the colour of....) that had that spectacular soft top on?
I even did my bit and chauffeured around our resident amputee....

Seriously now.... Great job Matt, excellent event, i'll definitely be back!

Just had my little interview with the Sunshine Coast Daily. Usual stuff like....
- How much HP does you car have?
- Where do you have breakfast runs too?
- Do many members get involved in racing as well as shows?
- So these cars really attract attention?? Why??

He then asked me for some of the brands of cars at the breaky apart from my Datto and I said DRB, Harrison, AP etc. He also asked me who's making nice cars now and I said certainly hard to look past ABSOLUTE PACE. (That black car is GELOCAT WHAAAAAT!)
So Wazza, there's your free plug! Again.
If you need my address for payment of random acts of kindness plug please send to my lovely wife. As I'll never see it either way!

It'll run in this weekends Saturday paper and you will most likely find it here.
