Greetings all;

Here are some photos of my car so far.Because of the file size I'll put one picture at a time up.They are mainly chassi pics, but the last pic is of Python's second race car,I've posted it because the chassi's are the same and it gives a good idea of what was involved.Hope it works!

Chris, you're not running quite as much negative camber as the racecar

I saw them racing at the Adelaide Le Mans race. They were racing the all-out Sports Sedans and doing pretty well too!)

Your chassis is coming together nicely. Python look like they make a nice car, not to mention you know that they've been "track developed"!

It's looking realy good Chris. You're almost at the sitting on the rolling chassis while making Broom! Broom! noises stage. All you need is a steering wheel to hold and a milk crate to sit on.

Python do make a nice looking chassis. It was a toss up between the Classic Revival and the Python for myself and a hard decision to make too.

You mentioned you were taking it back down to George for some more work. Is this all tied in with the house move?

We'll have to get together soon and compare notes.

Greetings all;

Craig; The front wheels are certainly in need of adjustment, a simple case of over enthusiasm and just wanting to get to the "Aussie Mike" broom, broom stage.The body is back on and many things have come to light that need tinkering ,but shifting house didn't allow such things.
The car is now at our Engineering shop with a sheet over it ,where it will stay until Python have room to accomodate it and it could be in Georges hands for a few months.At this stage it will be getting 1; Complete Braking system plumbed 2; Rear aldan shocks & Tailshaft 3;Windscreen & wiper motor 4; G/box shifter mechanism and linkages modified plus a few other bits and pieces

Mike; I have a steering wheel but no milk crate seat,am I qualified to start "broom brooming"!

Also just the other day at Python I saw a Gold "turn key" nearing completion,Its probably the last colour I would paint a Cobra , but I've got to say it looked Horn!!. The overall quality of the work being done there is really impressive and when I think back to when I first started going in there (6 years ago),the product has really gone up a gear.

Mke, I now have a steering shaft, but I'm sitting on a laid-down coil spring. That's only about 5" off the floor, but I'd like to be even lower. I wonder if I can just glue some padding directly to the floor?!?

You certainly are qualified Chris. This just goes to show that you can Broom! Broom! at any stage in your build. I started before I even got my kit home. The enclosed shot was taken while the shell was still on the trailer at my friends house about 1.5 hours from home. I look forward to not needing to imagine the steering wheel in my hands (lucky 750HP).

Lately I've been sitting on a cushion on my chassis working out the length and angle my pedals need to be. I'm having a go at making an adjustable balance bar as well that will be incorperated into the brake pedal itself. I'm building in adjustment for pedal ratio as well as the positioning of the tread but it's taking some thinking.

I'll have visit Python next week for a look. I agree on the improved quality too, I think Wayne can take a piece of that credit. He seems to have some good ideas and a real passion for the cars.

750HP, what breed of cobra it that you're building? I've been admiring the pics and I can't identify it. Is it your own chassis? the upper control arms look good, are thay fabricated or from a donor?

Mike, the chassis is basically a Prosport Developments modified RMC chassis. It has just enough RMC left in it to satisfy the engineers, but the body is just the way RMC built it, with the exception of the lift-off front.

The upper A-Arms are Afco brand, and are very reasonably priced. That's about the only bit about the front suspension that I'm fully happy with. Scott from Venom Custom Fabrications is sorting out the front suspension at the moment.

I'm slowly getting there. Having Scott on the job s a huge relief for me. I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel!
