Bandit 1

Just west of Broken Hill in Southern New South Wales there is a hotel in the middle of the outback.

Silverton Hotel or similiar.

This is the location that they shot most of the Mad Max 2 movies.

Just recently they had a back to Mad Max weekend.

You guessed it, there were about five of those Mad Max black Falcon Coupes there.

Recently, the original Mad Max yellow XB Falcon was for sale in a place called Lara Victoria. It was the genujine car and was advertised for $4500 in a mag, called Unique Cars.

The first Mad Max movie was shot on the Geelong Road at Lara and on a property owned by the Ballan family. Again just north of Geelong.

Just a bit of trivia for you.

We did however send Mad Max to you guys over there

Cheers

Bernie

Same body style as Mad Max, but without all the movie stuff - here's a hardtop Falcon that sees LOTS of street use around my place. Big block with nitrous - high 8 second 1/4 mile @ 160mph !!!

Not bad for a 3900lb street car that gets driven to the track...
