Jason,

Must take you to task on the weather forecats for QLD (Brizzy)

Fine means sunny.

Afternoon shower means fine, which means sunny

and if we do have rain (storm) it is restricted between 8 and 10 PM. Ideal for open Cobras.

Les, have the WA guys got their Cobra with them?

Looking forward to the 25th (the butcher probably is too with the number of snags likely to be needed). If we can raise a bit of dosh for the surf lifesavers, all the better.

Who knows, we might outshine the Indy Parade and get the Cobras on Channel 7 (on the morning show)

Hey Craig, Regarding your concern with local constabulary

Maybe I could arrange for the local boys to match one of their pursuit cruisers against your beast........

Mind you..If you beat em and they got shi$$y then I would have to declare you and get the white coat fellas to come save ya.

Dont worry about the coat size mate...the ones we use are "one size fits all"

An insanity plea to avoid a traffic offence? I like it! Can I get the whole "Hannibal Lecter" treatment?!?!

No, there are no concerns will police. The heart rate always increases by half, but they seem to just look at the car and see a shiny sports car - and leave it at that.

If I had the motor in my ute, they'd nail me to the wall. It's funny how they just expect Cobra to be a bit noisy, so they seem to leave them alone.......

I hope !

I happened to see Tim (Gulf GT40) today, and he said that he's planning on coming. He just got his car back after having the wider rear bodywork grafted on. 17x12" wheels with 335/35/17 tyres should look the part!!!

How is it that a little ol get together can draw such attention?

I think we're getting more views on this item than what the guys on the other side of the water get - Craig have you invited any of the yanks or pommes across?

It certainly doesn't take much to give you guys an excuse to ride on down to the deep south for an arvo at the beach.

Now if we end up with a few QLDer's there, which I'm sure we will then maybe we could circulate this Site around and give those Victorians a run for their money.

Who knows, next year's nationals.........on the beach at Wello Point!

Craig, we need to take a stock count on say Sunday, and then another later on in the week (just for the snags or just in case I need to drop a carton down at the local Council to garantee us VIP parking)

Pete - you know how unreliable these Cobra guys are. 15 saying they're coming will mean that we either have 3 cars arrive, or 33.... Never count on the numbers matching the RSVP!!!!!

Also, don't go dropping cartons down to the council - we'll need those beers for when we get back to your place

Where's the rest of them?

Hood's up ready for the far blue yonder.

Actually getting the transmission oil pipes fluted tomorrow then off into the far blue yonder.

Les, have you set off swimming yet?

I know we won't know how many until we know how many, but any ideas on the likely numbers:

1 to 10, 10 to 20, 20+???

Purely to know how many fillet steaks to get in.

Peter, I sent the email to Craig White a while ago now, and I haven't seen a bulk email going round to everyone yet....

That being the case, I'd expect less than 10 cars - the club guys generally need a while to make a commitment to any given day !

On another note, you'll be happy to know that I went to a carshow today. Had front row spot for the bikini comp, and I didn't even take any photos !!! I'm progressing....

Craig,

Was it the case that you were too smitten to get your camera out of your pocket?

We should have been down at Wello the weekend gone. I understand a group of chevy's were prancing around - a double booking would have been interesting - they were probably practising for the Indy Parade.

Why is that the Cobra's didn't get the spot this year?

Oh and I've undertaken a structural survey on the driveway and I am confident it can withstand any vibration you may wish to give it!

Now I'm intrigued.....

Least of my worries hey.

I'm looking forward to overcoming my fears.

Oh and Les

Did you bring back a few leftovers from your conference.

If so, bring them with you and we'll warm them up on the engine (eggs out)

It wasn't a camera in my pocket.....

My car doesn't pose a threat to anyone now that I've had the sidepipes repacked. You'd swear you were driving a new Bentley, it's that subdued.

OZ - at least your starting her on the light stuff. When I see a Crownie in her hands I'll be concerned !

Just bring your bits Les.

So far we have 4 Cobras and a GT40.

Hopefully we'll have a few more by Saturday.

Craig, any feedback as yet?

Was down there last Saturday and plenty of room for parking, but if it stays at 30 degrees there will be more people chilling out.
