Brisbane Bayside Meet
Reading the Victorian idea of meeting up for lunch, how about us Queenslanders getting together on say a Sunday sometime in the near future?
I realise that there is a meet at Sanctuary Cove the first Sunday in each month, but Im sure a few cobras meeting elsewhere say mid morning on a Sunday would be good.
I could suggest the Point at Wellington Point (where the road meets the bay) as an ideal place for a get together. There's a cafe / bar there. Ideal for chilling out.
If interested, let me know.
Oh and for those guys who have their Cobras in bits (unfinished!) come along for a yarn.

Because:
1. We have bay breezes at Wellington Point.
2. Talking to a pommie will no doubt increase your worldy knowledge.
3. If we have enough Cobras we can have our own mass.
Once we get a few more responses I'll fix it up.
Thanks Les.
May the lord be with you.

I'm always keen to get the car out for a drive, and we'd be doing churches a favour by keeping Les out of them !
Here's what I'm doing for the next month...
Sunday 12/10/03 - Beers, BBQ, and a surround sound home theatre will keep me busy watching Bathurst this weekend.
Sunday 19/10/03 - Blowers, boobs and burnouts will keep me occupied the following Sunday http://www.racelinepromotions.com/streettorque.html
Sunday 26/10/03 - Bikini babes, blondes bimbos and the occasional racing car will have my attention at INDY
Sunday 02/11/03 - Back to Sanctuary Cove
Gotta love this time of year in Sunny Queensland!!!

Craig,
Looks like you've got a pretty boring October ahead.
Where do you find out about all these car shows that are on?
The Torque event looks good. Will head down for a look.
I'm convinced you're a drag artist at heart.
Where are all these other Queenslanders hanging out at.
After investigative work I've found 4 Cobras under construction on the South side (one as a father's day gift! I will have to raise the stakes with my kids).
If any of you are part of this Site, drop us a line.

Right..looked at the events at the torque event.
Now I know why Craig is going...
Craigs main attractions:
leather and lace
Raceline babe of the year
Hot bikini comp
Promo girl comp
He has no interest in cars at all
I'll pray for your salvation

Les, funny you should mention the Raceline girls. I was down at the Corvette Motorkhana at the Broadwater Carpark last sunday, and there were the Racegirls.
I turned around to get a photo of them, and one of them just reached up and grabbed a handful right there in front of me Looks like the brunette had the same thought.....
Pete - this is why I go to car shows!!!

Hey Craig,
You really do need to attend that same church Les professes to offload his sins at.
Voyeuring only leads to frustration.
It is interesting that on the majority of your pics there is little in the way of cars - sin boy sin.

Saturday arvo sounds good to me.
You could always end up at my place and move onto the beers.
Then again, I'd be interested to see Craig's itinery for the next few Saturdays (on the beach checking out the wildlife!)
So far, we have:
Les (I must repent my sins first);
Craig (After he's checked out the birds first - wildlife variety of course); and
Ozvenom (Racing extraordinare).
Hopefully a few more guys will appear out of the woodwork.
Oh and as per the Victorians, bring along those partners (if you have them). If not don't worry, pets will be welcome.
Possible dates:
Saturday 18 October or 25.

Surfers Paradise conferences always = free food and drinks...... We have our date then..... Saturday the 18th, Les gets us all into the conference!!!
I'll be down at Indy on the 25th if I can get some corporate tickets. Scott and I were big fans of the free Crownies served up by the Hooters girls in our corporate grandstand spot last year....
If I can't get any tickets, and if you guys set the date for the 25th, I'm there. Wellington Point is fine by me, if it suits everyone else. Once we have a date, I'm sure we can get the word around that it's on. I'd expect a dozen other Cobras to turn up on the day.
PCC - we could always have it at the beach. Have you seen how skimpy some of those new bikinis are?!?!?!?
Scott - speaking of neighbours and Sunday drivers..... Here is the quality of driver that lives near me. (Their house is 3 doors up from my house. They did this driving out of their own driveway)

I just knew this would happen ....
When Craig fires up his beast in his driveway....Those Blu$$y side pipes clear 3 residential blocks on either side..No wonder the neighbours are complaining. .
Scott knows...cuz he built the damn thing

Are we all agreed that the 25th is on?
Forget the Indy...you'll see it on 7 news anyway.
Craig, where do you find 12 Cobra's?
1PM suits me. Crownies for anyone early.
Crownies for me if you're late.
For those who don't know Wellington Point is at Wellington Point. Head for the Point at Wellington.
If you get bored after a while, there's always my place for more tea and scones (cockney rhyming slang for more crownies) later on.
Let me know whose interested. More than 1 we're on.
Check out the pic from the Wellington Point (All night bar)........
