10.5" discs then yes they are the same.
You'res seem better vented, but I've not suffered any stopping problems (as yet).

They are 11.5" discs on mine. If yours are based on the Series 3 Jag they will be the same. I've drilled and slotted mine for improved pad degassing/cleaning and a bit of cosmetic appeal.
Cheers

Nope - definitely 10.5 (what's an inch between friends?)
What Jag - who knows.

I can't believe these Jag front-end boys are trying to kidnap my HQ/BMW brake Thread

When you spoke to the bloke about the BMW calipers did he mention anything about having to widen the caliper or grinding anything to make the HQ disks fit?

When I ordered my calipers and the first thing the guy asked was "what width disk are you using.
Apparently there are two sizes. From memory I think it 25mm.
And please guys, no more of that Pommie crap in this thread.
Strictly Aussie and German engineering only.

Those Jag calipers look very similar to the Beemer ones I have just bought.

Surely you can hardly forget where these cars originated from?
BMW / Jag / British Leyland - who cares as long as they do the job well.

Relax big fella...people will start thinking your a Pom.

I know where they came from..
Big Texas guy. Goes by the Shelby, I believe.
The Poms couldn't organise a motor deal for their AC.
So big Carroll showed them how to do it.
Does that sound right?

I couldn't tell the difference between a BMW calliper and a BMX calliper.
But I knew the Jag/pom line would get a bite...thanks PCC

It's highly possible the BMW and Jaguar calipers came from the same factory. I think the Jag calipers were originally made by Girling and they make calipers for everything. The last 2 sets of Jag front discs I've bought were made in Germany.
Series 2 & 3 Jag XJ6 discs are 285mm or 11.22" in diameter by 24mm thick.
Cheers

Come on mate, I'm not sticking up for the Pommy stuff, but you can't really call HQ parts great feats of "engineering". I have HQ based stuff on the front of mine, so I can call it for the garbage that it is

Jason,
The cars are english - like it or not.
The engine's american, the chassis's american, the flared bits are american, but there's plenty of pommy bits - lights / windscreens / body shape etc.
Oh and Mike my Jag discs are definitely 10.5" (British engineering.... a whole 1" out - pretty accurate I think)
Never mind - who cares anyway
Hey Craig.... are you up at Noosa next weekend. We're staying overnight, although no Cobra (too many dings). Might catch up with you.

So what your trying to say is...
all the good bits are American and the Poms gave'em something to bolt it to.
Cool...I'm glad we have an understanding.
Sorry to hear about your missing inch.
If you lived in Vic you could blame the cooler weather

Peter, are the hillclimbs on then? I was supposed to go to a party on Sunday 16th, but I might have to head to Noosa. It's about the only race meeting that I've never seen.
The amount of damage there every year scares me.....
