I'm on my way !!
Mates,
I'm about to embark on my journey to the land down under. I leave on Sunday night at 1130PM and arrive in Melbourne at 9:30 AM your Tuesday I believe. I'm looking forward to the visit and meeting as many Aussie enthusiats as possible. I'll be staying with Robert Logan, the owner of Roaring Forties GT40s. I believe we have plans to attend the Phillip Island historics and then the next week we are attending the Australian Gran Prix which is a first for me.
Any suggestions on how to pass the time on the plane will be greatly appreciated. 13 Hours ...OH Man!!. I need some Bundaberg Rum for this trip!
Hersh

Hersh-
Sounds like a great trip, very jealous. I'm sure you're going to have a blast. As for passing the time on the flight, I'd suggest having several oil cans of Foster's and asking one of those blonde Aussie stewardesses if she wants to snuggle under your blanket with you.

BT,
Have a safe and funfilled trip.
For the flight, may I recommend a copy of "Wit and Wisdom of Turk", available at the newstands.
It should keep you busy coloring the pages for hours.
Have fun.

Hersch if you can, try to maintain your normal sleeping hours. If you take off at almost midnight try to sleep the first part. Then arrange it so the local time you land in would line up with your sleep. For instance if you land there at 9:30 am local time take a nap on the plan and wake a couple of hours before landing. That way you are sort of maintaining your daily schedule.

Hersh- Have a great time and make sure you hook up with Bernie, but watch out for his beverage recommendations as we suspect he has acquired a taste for "lightning". Wish I could be along for the fun. Give us a report when you return. Give Bernie a hug from all his Yank buddies.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again, Hersh. It sounds like you're going to keep yourself busy during the trip! Phillip Island Historics AND the F1 - that's a great combination of events.
I bet those southerners will show you a good time. I thought I read WT's post as "Give Bernie a yank from all his hug buddies".
See you soon. I'd better go and change those spark plugs now - I've been putting it off for a month. Man, I'm getting lazy !!!

Hey Wayne good talking with you the other day.
Look forward to catching up with Hersh at Roarin 40's factory or at Robert's (Hersh if you are accessing this site will ring today Wednesday 25th)
We know Wayne its a hug and nothing else. The Queenslanders just miss that type of contact.
Take care all.
Cheers
