Question How long now?

AC514

Gino, sounds like you a close to finish.

How long now??

If you don't get a response here, Post on "All Cobra Talk" as I can recal a supplier making custom badges.

Cheers

Bernie

Don't worry about specifics Gino.

Just get one made that has
"F***ING HUGE"
written on it.

I might be able to organise you some nice Chevrolet LS1 badges.

Speak to Leeroy, He knows someone in the signwriting trade that is working on some badges for his.

Cheers

Hi Gino,
brother is a signwriter with a cad operated sign cutting machine. I want him to do something similiar to what you are after for side badge. I was going to machine badge blanks and have him make up text to suit "GenIII LS1" of course and then fill with clear acrylic to get a sealed finish look. At home now but will post a dwg. from work with my idea. Happy to do for you if it works out.

here is a detail of what I had in mind. Can you tell me what the outside dimensions of badge is? thought I'd do it in brass, machine it and then have it chromed before fitting decal and acrylic

Tom, it is late and it took me about 20 seconds, but then it hit me. That is classic. Love it!

Leeroy,
Thanks. Now you have got me thinking. I already have engine cover with engraved Cobra on one side (oil filler side) and Cobra 350 on the other side. I was going to mount air box on top of cover and feed MAF/TB with 4" pipe from this but hood slot is too small so now its 4" pipe from front some how.

Love your under car exhaust looks good. Dont forget lots of insulation.

Phil

The complete exhaust both sides is being HPC coated as we speak so hopefully that will reduce it a bit, also have heat shield matt to go under body. Know what you mean about air inlet been losing sleep over this one as well???? look forward to your work

Let us know how you go with the badges Leeroy, there may be a market for those guys in Australia, especially if you can order the stripes in whatever color you want.

Spent some time with my brother and he came up with this side badge for mine. I mounted it on 25x90 alum. & polished it. They are computer cut stick-on vinyl material which is done in layers then stuck to a surface. Bit fiddely but results ok. If you guys wish to do something similiar let me know and I can do it in whatever text you prefer.

Talking Extra Line

Leroy, top badge.

Can we add another line with Blown and a HP figure, think next year there might be a few orders, with the Dark Side growing.
