I had considered gear drive as I just love that sound. Quite apart from the obvious advantages over a chain.

Hey, tell me how you get the belt to make that noise. My belt is dead quite.

Will watch with interest to see what is suggested to quieten the gilmer belt down and then just do the opposite - I guess.

Love that sound.
