Default crash pad

Hey guys,
Have been informed that I have to Have A padded crash pad on the leading edge above the dash.Does anyone know if they have to be a specific size and or can you buy them already done or do have to get them made. I have read the adr/21 but it doesn't say any sizes.Any input would be appeciated. Cheers
Brett

Question Impco Gas

Hi Brett, Was curious if your running propane? I noted you referenced an Impco gas feed. Sorry I don't know about the dash pad. Was considering running my Torino (428 CJ) on propane. Dave

Hi Brett,
Who is your engineer?

I don't know anyone on the Central Cost who had one on their car when it got passed.
Sorry I can not help you with your question as I never had to cross that bridge but it dose seem to depend what side of the bed the engineer got out of in the morning as to what he will make you comply with.

Just my 2c

Craig W

Hi Brett
In vic we need a pad from passenger side.To just past the left hand side off steering wheel.Use double sided tape so you can remove after the engineer.

Brett,

I used a section of insulation for water pipes available from hardware/plumber store. Its about 40 mm dia and already split along length so goes over dash edge real easy. Comes off easy too.
