Default Flash dash

I have just looked at PCC's gallery and have seen his dash.
Has anyone else gone down this path?

PCC ahve you anymore photos of how you mated the XR dash to your cobra?

Also I read in an earlier posting that you were having trouble with a couple of the guages. I worked at Ford in Geelong as an apprentice and was talking to a freind who is still there in product development , if you could tell me your drama my contact said he may be able to help.

Gav.

Gav .. Petes dash is pretty fancy and is standard fitment to the DRB 2000 series cobras.

Well...Maybe his is a little fancier but the DRB 2000 dash uses that moulding.

Select Cobra, then DRB2000 and you can check it out..

Cheers

Hmmmmmmmm,

The layout has changed since DRB's photo's.

If anyone goes this way check that the bloody glove box fits well - notice its not installed in the photo

The AUI cluster is a straightforward fit into the dash. However a few mating problems with the chaser cluster and NC computer:

1. The tacho reads approx 500 rpm too high - who cares as you listen to the engine anyway; and

2. The water gauge is erratic - tried to fix with an additional diode, but got tired of getting to work anyway. Hence, a couple of new Stewart Warner gauges for x-mas (Symmetry issue).

Also the sppedo head died whitch EMP fixed (apparently common on AU's - bloody Fords)

Cameron,

When you're drinking magnums - yes it can be a problem.

Talking of problems - is that Superformance beast heading north yet?

My offer still stands

The only problem is getting the straw to the bottom

As for the beast... It should be ready next week. But I won't be able to get to it at the ealiest until about the 8th

If miss that date, it will be February

Thanks again for your kind offer, no doubt the fastest way to the coast is via the no limit roads in NT...
