Default Winton

Tony and Jason are owed alot by the people who attended Winton at Easter. Jason especially performed and executed his duties above and beyond the call of duty.

The weekend was so special but you know what the real great thing was.? No speed cameras and radar guns. Have not felt such relief and happiness since the days they brought in the 70 mph limit.

Hi there Richard (wasp) catchy and suitable nickname.

Welcome along, I see you have been here about a month but havent spotted you till now.

As you may or may not know I am building a car with very similar color layout as yours, I just want to say that I think your car looks great.
Can you tell me what color yellow that is?
Also are your stripes gloss black or semi gloss? (they look gloss).
I dont recognise the chassis of your car, which brand is it?
And finally what type of rear end is it?

In the true spirit of the Marque I think the people behind the organisation of the event ought to be commended!!

Would it be appropriate to think that we could have a similar event in each state each year eg. Vic '05, Qld '06, Nsw'07, Sa'08 etc . We have very good facilities for this kind of thing around Brisbane such as :- night rally, hillclimb, skid pan(with turn table),drags, motorkhana etc all within an hours drive of each other--- and great hospitality too.

We would be interested in your responses.

Default Details of my car

The colour is devil yellow and the black is gloss black with a touch of green pearl, Looks great in the sun.

The chassis is one of a kind made by Sean Mullins Race Cars. The the rear and front end are out of a Toyota Soarer. the equivalent here in Australia is the MA 70 Supra GT.

Doug Pearce here in Lilydale did the final preparation of the body and the paintwork.

Just love it. Took the wife for a two day cruise on the weekend. Unfortunately got caught in a storm with up to 100 k winds with the road being littered with bark and branches. The cobra got awefully wet. Just had to keep going but got home safely. Picked up every dam branch on the road and tore out one of the hand brake cables. Amazingly the wife was out straight away with a towel soaking up the water in the footwells and out with the chamois. First time she has actively got involved with the car. Especially after such a horror trip home.

The Wasp did its duty over the weekend with some mountain sprints with my brother in his Cobra playing chase. Frightened a few tourist though.

Hope this helps have a great one

Richard
