Talking Well the sympathetic have already started the jokes..

Well, guess it would not take long...

The jokes are already circulating...

Sign on the door at Corby's beauty salon in Queensland reads.."BACK IN 20"

A new motor mower grass catcher has been released by 'VICTA MOWERS', guaranteed to catch all the grass it's called the ..'CORBY VICTA'..with a 20 year guarantee.

Bad taste of whatever..

I think this really highlights the calibre of the types of people they are dealing with.

For people wanting their money back for Tsunami relief, I thought this summed it up nicely.

I did not make this, so feel free to remove it...

I think it has to be said and sometimes the best was of saying something is with a diagram. Excuse the bad language...

Given the on-going investigation by the federal police it would appear that a significant number of our baggage handlers and airport security staff have very colorful backgrounds.

A report I read today was particularilly scathing and included some information not yet public.

Frankly, if you fly in Aussieland or more so overseas, lock your bags, have them shrink wrapped in front of you and don't collect your bags until you have eyeballed them on the carousel to check for interferance.

There seems to be another misnomer about this whole episode of a pretty aussie chick busted for smuggling drugs.

She's NOT real pretty, only barely better lookin than her mum or sister and those in the courtroom around her.

Funny how we start to form opinions and put on the rose coloured glasses when we take pitty on someone in what seems an unfair predicament.

From across the pond I find this story troubling. I have no feelings on her guilt or innocence – I do have many questions concerning the severity of the punishment. Most of the world responds with unthinking reactions when it comes to dishing out punishment for an offense that kills far fewer people than alcohol.

Arrow On Todd's site again 'Posting'

Just 'Posting' on Todds' site again.

I'm amazed that the Bali bombers have received such insignificant sentences when you compare them to Corby.

Whilst I'm told that evidence etc. has got a lot to do with sentences and obviously apprehension in the first place. I'm left wondering why evidence was not allowed to be called for this girl.

Well guess it will make a good conversation starter at a dinner party.

.."Is she guilty?" or even better still the old favourite...."did a dingo take the baby?."...

We can only sit and watch what happens from here.

One I heard today;

Don't blame it on the sunshine
Don't blame it on the airline
Don't blame it on the Bali nine
Blame it on the Boogie.

Unhappy

aaaaah fella's caught this thread a little late and so glad you brought it up. Been stuck over in europe you don't get the full gossip of whats happening back home. i read the smh everyday and even more since the Corby case.

As some of you guys have said why would you import 4.1 kilo's of grass into a country where its freely available and at a better price. I spent over 6 months travelling around sth east asia and spent several weeks in Bali, and what mike said is so true, the government workers are so corrupt its not funny. We were a group of friends in Kuta we hired a Suziki Sierra for the day,a few in the back and three in the front (me being the extra person in the front). driving down the main street trying to turn right and a copper pulls out blowing his wistle, little stocky fella dressed in brown, we pull over and we all get out. Ranting and raving away and pulls me over to the side and says i must follow him. We walked 10 metres where there's this concrete block box waist high next to the road, similar to a witness box in a court house. i find myself in there and the copper outside starring at me and saying you are too many in the car. I look around people are hanging off buses and trucks even saw a family of 4 people all crushed on a scotter. I pointed out that he was joking only to find myself him threatening that i will go to court and bla bla. Finally finding myself pulling out a few green backs and shaking his hand goodbye.

I believe what i have read that Corby certainly has recieved the raw deal of the stick. But thank god i have always and will continue to lock and make sure my luggage is secure.

aaaaah thxs for listening to that.

Skippy

Hey skippy, you better watch yaself being all sympathetic with us aussies.

Those folks in Luxemburg might wake up and realise you are one of us and export you back home.

How do you like the stroker in your cob?. If you had the chance would you do anything different to what you now have?.

As you can see in my bio, I'm rebuilding mine to a similiar setup and don't want to do this all over again some time in the future.

Cheers

Hey Bernie,
At first I thought it inappropriate to have Michael as a topic on this forum, but he is more of a "kit" or "replica" than many of the cars discussed, so what the heck?!

Cheers back at ya'!

Doug

Certainly more filler than the average kit car..

Just like that low cost restoration - you dig about a little on that cherry body and find its all filler and rust..

OK I'll be controversial, I think it will be a surprise if he goes to jail. I think the jury will find him innocent..

Bernie on Todd's site.

Bernie,

Not controversial to me, but to nit-pick I would say that they will find him not guilty moreso than innocent (the whole "reasonable doubt" thing). After OJ, there are no more suprises!

BTW, you need to start logging in as yourself - there are rumors going around CC that you and Todd are the same person, much like Michael and Janet!

Also, I sent you a PM. I will now cease highjacking your thread and remove my American a$$ from the much more respectable Aussie forum.

Cheers!
Doug
