Well done.

Looking forward to hearing all about the build as it progresses!! I'll be more than happy to offer any relevant information I have as you go.

Cheers

Always been a ASS man! I think I have taken photos of my Cobra from every single angle possible.

This thread appears to be a bit of lets bash Ian. I accept different experiences make for different opinions, but honestly. Ian at CR could not have been more helpful, every phone call and E-mail has been replied to promptly. Parts mailed out ASAP and phone calls keeping me up to date on shipments. When the car has been at his shop for some work he has taken the time and emailed photos home, he has come into the shop on weekends just to chat about the Cobra. At one point when I was speaking to him about certain parts and there price he told me to leave it with him and he was able to organise the same parts even cheaper.

His after sales serve has been fantastic!!! It has made the build a pleasure and he produces a great product – just look at the number of CR’s out there.

Cheers SNKBTE

Nope, It certainly wasn't meant to be that. We all have a huge respect for the CR and the support Ian gives his clients.

Besides, looks like schipps is having a bob each way by using one of those wotyacallem engines. You know the ones....mostly fitted to CR's.

And....as schipps said...Harrison is a QUEENSLANDER, home of the mighty Broncos and the very state which taught the cockroaches how to play league.

schipps, I'm only gonna accept ya choice of engine if ya upgrade it to an LS2 . LS1's are only for use by those who live in states unable to play a proper code of footy.

Rebel 1

I am looking at the LS2 as a serious contender. Apparently the external dimensions and mount points are no different to an LS1, so Warwick wouldn't have to shift engine mounts if at the last minute I decide on the LS2. I see suburban imports have a new LS2 300kw for $7200...

LS2...nice.

Also check with Warwick on new engine prices. I know he has a good contact and has bought a number of new Holden engines, with transmission, with warranty. And we already know the warranty support is fantastic. He might have already mentioned it. Just another option.

Not sure about Qld, but be careful that imported engines may be harder to register, as they have not been fitted to a donor car.

You can probably get one from Holden at a similar price too.

Cheers,

Ben
