I've been driving my 1989 KCC ,from South Africa since 89.I thought it was pretty old.Still looks and drives great. All Jaguar suspension.About 50000miles.
Rebuilt the motor recently +/- 600miles.Crashed it in 96 right rear .It is actually a great testiment to the quality of replicas today.

Thumbs up Old Cobra replica's

I purchased a Kellison Stallion in 1998 and still own it. It was manufactured in August 1978 by Silver Classic Coachcraft in Lincoln, CA at Jim Kellison's company. Photos are in the gallery. It's chassis number 12 of 117 built between 1976 and 1980.
I also have an Allied catalog which lists many cars including a couple of Cobra models that were available to purchase at the time.

Think you could post a few pic's from the catalog? Would be Kool to see some of the old ads...

Will do. It might take me a day or two before I can scan in and post.

I searched far and wide for Allied ads for Cobras - they made lots of different car body styles. Old title records get destroyed by various DMVs. I apparently have a 1980 or 1981 Ill. title number in my chain of title.

I talked to the original owner of my car and he said Allied made 2 different 289 slab bodies, a thin race/comp body and a thick street body.

Default Allied catalog

I believe both are listed in the catalog but I'll have to check. Hope to have some pages posted tomorrow.

Interesting. The Allied company from the 60s was based in Nebraska. The cataloge you posted the fotos of is in Indiana. The one ghost drawing appears to have an Arntz/Butler/Unique frame. The other looks to be a Contemporary round tube frame. Any date on your cataloge?

Default Allied catalog

I could not find a date any where in the catalog but I was told by the person who gave it to me that he sent for it around 1979 / 1980.
I have several more pages that I scanned in that would not load into my gallery for some reason. Seems like I can not load more than 20 photos. Do we have a limit?

Thanks --- the folks at Everett Morrison told me that Dean Morrison sold Allied to some Indian fellow who moved the company to Indiana and tried to market the cars for a while and failed. The molds, etc. reverted to Morrison who moved to Florida --- and he hooked up with the Everetts who originated in Chicago. Everett Morrison was formed around 1983 in Fla. I think your catalogue is from the "inbetweeen" period. There is a price for a complete V-8 car --- I think that is what mine is, although I can't prove it. The serial number (AC** is stamped on the frame, the heads, block, motor box, etc. Who does that if it isn't from a "factory?" Thanks Stallion112 -- I have looked for 2 years for that catalogue.

I have a Contemporary Cobra that was one of the first built, I think it is 1980. I remember Arntz being advertized in the Shelby newsletters in the mid 70's, I'll have to look thru my old rags to see if I can find the adds!
