I noticed in the back of HURRICANEHAROLDS collection a couple of models with hardtops that appear to be the drag racing versions. Would love to have some info on these models and where they might be purchased.

Randy, the cars you are asking about are in BJ`s collection, they are 1/18 scale and made by Ertl, they come available in gold or black with gold hardtop ,which is removable, they pop up on ebay quite often.
I dont think they are still being made,I have a model of the black one which I bought about 5 years ago now

Cobra Models made by Exoto
Hi Guys,
I am new here & this is my first post.
I am the Australian distributor for Exoto models. I would like to offer all memebrs of the Australian Cobra club the following.
Xotix will give every Australian Cobra Club member a $25.00 discount on any model we have in stock.
Xotix will also donate another $25.00 to the Cobra Club for every model purchased by a member.
We have just received a new shipment of cobra's you can see them here.
1962 Shelby 260
1962 Shelby 260
1962 Shelby 260
1963 Shelby 289
1963 AC Competition
1963 AC Cobra
1964 Shelby Daytona
1965 Shelby Daytona
Buying from ebay can definately net you some bargains, & you may find some of our models on ebay. (not from us though) However always remember that these models are very delicate. We offer you a 100% guarantee on your models. If a model is faulty we will pay the shipping for you to return it to us for either an exchange or full refund.
These models are expensive, we also give you the option to buy it now & pay it off over 3 months at no extra cost.
I am heavily involved with another car club, i know how hard it is to raise money for a club, hence my offer to the Cobra Club. This offer has not been made to any other car club, i am not in the habit of spamming forums.
To take up this offer please pm or email me with your state for your promotional code
{Moderators, i hope i have not broken any rules with this offer. If i have please edit/delete this post and let me know.}
Regards,
Xotix

Thats interesting to hear,as I have bought Exoto models off ebay direct from Exoto and found that there customer care service leaves alot to be desired, waiting nearly 3 months for models to arrive, also receiving damaged models.
It is also interesting to see that you have just received a new consignment of models from Exoto when some of thenm are retired on Exoto`s website.

Hi HurricaneHarold,
We obtained the Exoto agency in May. What has happened prior to our acquisition I really have no control over, I am dissapointed to hear that your experience has not been favourable in the past dealing directly with the manufacturer.
Ordering directly from us as the Only Australian distributor will ensure quick delivery & 100% guarantee on your purchase.
With respect to retired models, this only means that Exoto has no stock. Some models may be manufactured again others will not. Please also consider that Exoto have small production runs & it is not uncommon for them to sell out of a new model in a few months. A new consignment means just that, a new shipment, some are brand new models & others we have bought from there existing stocks.
No smoke & mirrors here, our 15 years as the leading Diecast collectable manufacturer in Australia & now agents for a few brands of 1st class imported models should give you peace of mind.
Thanks for your response
Xotix
