Default DRB - Crank Pulley touching frame

Just when I thought I was getting close

The crank pulley on my DRB is touching the Torana subframe. My engine is a 94 (?) EB Falcon 302 but I changed the timing cover so I could run the old style waterpump / alternator etc. Anyway, both the original crank pulley and the aftermarket one I have touch the frame.

The original crank pulley is much larger in diameter and almost fits inside the subframe, whereas the aftermarket one is smaller in diameter but longer for the waterpump and alternator I have - and sits on top of the subframe as I drop the engine into place.

On another thread there is a mention of different Ford mounts. I think I have the older style mounts - do newer ones make the engine sit higher ?? Or possibly I need to chop into the subframe ?

Cheers,
Dan
